Topic: Keystone Bullet Premier

Can we hook sat. up to our cable hook up in the back. If so what all is needed. I found something on modding the wall plate etc or running through a window but will it work by simply plugging it in and turning off the booster? thanks !

I have a quick question for everyone. We are looking at buying a Keystone Bullet. I have read most of the 93 pages of this forum and so far, I really don't see anything bad about this particular line, which reassures me about my purchase. But I did want to ask if there is anything I should be aware of on these models that hasn't been discussed.

Here are the models we are considering, I was curious about what everyone thought about them, especially if you own one of these. We are having a tough time deciding on which we like the most. I was curious which you think may be the best deal too. The dealer also told me that this price includes the hitch, brake control, water hoses, sewer hoses, pretty much all we need to get going from what I can tell.

246RBS - $19,900
250RKS - $19,900
278RLS - $19,900
Premier 28RL - $21,900

Thanks to everyone, I've enjoyed reading about this model and everyone's fun times.

I think there are plenty of TT's around to fit everyones lifestyles. We have the 28RLPR and it is absolutely awesome. That would still be my first choice. The next one down would be the 278RLS. At this point we're camping with just the two of us. Our kids are grown and so didn't feel the need for the bunk models at this time. Below I tried to include the differences in these models which helped us make our decision in our purchase. Remember these are just OUR personal preferences and not everyone will agree.

Plus for 28RLPR: Rear window. This was the #1 reason for DH. For us we love to look out so the rear window is just awesome. Not ALL campgrounds provide a view but many do and if you're into nature or want more of an open camper then those with windows in the rear are great. Love the chairs to sit in at the end of a busy day! This is a plus for the 28RLPR and NOT the 278RLS, read below for slide out size.

Plus for 28RLPR: Ceiling Height. How tall are you? The Premier has the higher ceiling which again gives a more open feeling. Premier 10'11" compared to 10'3".

Minus (remember just my personal preference, not really a big deal) for 28RLPR: Sitting area. Guess I can't have everything. lol I like having the couch somewhat opposite the table area. Makes for another conversation area. Premier doesn't have this, the couch and dining are side by side but then you do have the chairs by the couch. So maybe this isn't a really a minus!

Plus for 28RLPR: Glass shower door. I like the shower glass enclosure, not a fan of shower curtains.

Plus for 28RLPR: Slide out. The Premier slide out is 36" deep, the 278RLS I think is just 18". Not sure on the #'s so check on this but there is a definite difference! This makes sitting in the chairs a better option in the premier. The chairs will need to come out from the wall some so you don't crash into back wall and blinds. With that in mind the couch will be in the way for the chair closest in that corner. No one can really sit on that end of the couch if you're in the chair. Sit in that model or look at the floorplan and see what I'm talking about.

Plus for 28RLPR: Storage. More storage in Premier 28RLPR, or course its larger. More storage in the bathroom, dream locker, corner cabinet, and tv area etc. Storage cabinet in bath of the Premier, NOT in 278RLS. I'm not even sure where you'd put all the bathroom things in the 278RLS, it does add up!

Plus for 28RLPR: TV. The premier has a solid TV area not just over your head hanging for view plus it has a wall of (not very deep) storage but its still nice to have. We actually don't watch much tv but I know its an issue for some.

If you can tow the 28RLPR length (3' longer)and handle the weight that would definitely be my choice and well worth the $ if you can swing it. We came from camping in a popup with only a few bins of goodies. So we'd probably fit into the 278RLS also. It is just soooo nice not to have to worry about storage for our needs. As they say if there is space you tend to move right in and use it. I'm sure either of these will work. There is no perfect TT so enjoy what you decide on and get out and make those memories! Hoped these comments helped.

I know it doesn't pertain to the models you are interested in but I thought I'd throw this out there to all 31BH owners. I've slowly discovered/detected over the last few months, a potentially huge problem. On my outdoor kitchen door, I've noticed that when the camper is on it's wheels (no stabilizers down), I have no problem opening the outdoor kitchen door. When we get to a campground and level it out, I'll put the stabilizers down and the gap between the body and the door will close up. It'll close up to the point that the door can sometimes be difficult to open. It binds on the body. The door has also worn away the paint on the door opening trim.

While it was under warranty (ran out on the 25th of Jun) I took it in to the dealer to open a claim ticket on it. The service tech said that he had never seen anything like it and sent all of my info to Keystone. As of this writing he hasn't heard back from them. There is no obvious evidence of a frame issue that I (I'm a retired aircraft mechanic) or he could find. It doesn't take much cranking down on the stabilizer to cause this problem and he agreed.
Just wanted to give you guys a heads up on the issue I'm having and wondered if anyone has seen anything similar on their 31BHPR.

I had the same issue. I adjusted the door by moving those little hinge inserts just a smidgen and it has never been an issue since. Ill keep my fingers crossed.

The tightness is due to the frame twisting slightly when you have it on the leveling jacks. That is a big door and the opening will bind a bit if one corner of the camper is too high. I'm camping right now and noticed the same issue...I reduced the tension on the jack below the kitchen and the situation was resolved.

I've never had that happen before. I usually don't tighten the stabs down very tight though. I really think the stabs would work 100 times better if the rear ones were moved forward about 4 feet.

That's what I was planning on doing when I wake up. I have never taken the mirror off, but I guess the coax connector could have worked itself off.

Which hinge inserts are you talking about? I don't remember seeing anything like that.

When I'm all set up, if I relieve enough pressure on the stabilizer below the kitchen to get rid of the binding on the door, another turn or two it'll be off of the ground.

If you look at the top of the door you will see one set screw (some may have a rivet) on the right and one on the left. Those screws hold the door in place horizontally. I took those screws out and tapped my door to the right a little then screwed the screws back into the plastic insert.
