Did you have the antenna amp on?

We just got back from a nice 4 day weekend in NC and ran into a couple of issues, none major, just a couple annoying ones.

1. Trailer bounce. If my son rolled over on his bunk, I felt it up front. We were level the whole time and I put down alternating corners.
2. The door and steps sqeaks. They were terrible. But nothing some WD40 won't cure.
3. I had issues with the internal 30 amp tripping again. Time to make an appointment @ the dealer.
And 4. In the outdoor kitchen, on the top (under the bunk) the wood is loose in one side. Something else for the service dept. to check out.

But I did set up a shower curtain @ the outdoor shower and it worked great. The plexi-glass over the outdoor tv is still working like a champ. This is our 6th trip and we are still on the same propane tank. We run the frigde there and back and cook the whole time.

Hope everyone had a great weekend, and happy birthday America!

Hey NetAndDavid,

You perfectly explained our bounce issue. My wife and I were in bed and could tell the minute someone moved. Can others chime in on this? Yes I did have the amp button on, located in the cabinet. Could you post pictures of your shower curtain set up. I haven't had the chance to set mine up yet.

What do you mean by alternating corners?

In the Army they teach us that when we set up a trailer to alternate the corner support jacks to ensure that the load is spread evenly. If you start with the jack curb side @ the front, go to the rear roadside jack and so on. I don't know how true this is, but I have done it for 10 years and it seems to have been working. If the storm passes, I'll do my clean up and set up the outdoor shower tomorrow.

To everyone experiencing all the bounce, are you using anything extra besides the stabilizers( eg Bal-X-Chocks)? I'm wondering if its worth me ordering a set of the extra long ones.

I'd love to see pictures of your outdoor shower.

The rock 'n roll isn't just this TT, seems to be a daily subject on the forums for all makes/models. We've done lots to secure ours but there is still some movement AND its just the two of us. With more family members I can imagine the movement! The steadyfast stabilizer system has free shipping for limited time and that seems to be a sure winner of a system. There are many systems like this on the market so I'm betting it's the way to go. I'm just waiting to see what ya'll end up doing and how it works out so I can pass this info on to DH [emoticon]

I wanted a quick fix of shelf this weekend. I ended up turning the camco cupboard double bar on its side in the bathroom upper closet and under the sink to make for a light weight shelf. Does anyone have a shelf in that cabinet and what did you use? The double bar tension rod fits perfect under the sink around all those hose to store several extra rolls of TP [emoticon]

Happy 4th! We've had a great 4 day weekend, 40+ days camping/fishing/napping! [emoticon]

Maybe the antenna was not pointed in the right direction, too remote to get a good signal, or something didn't feel like playing.

BAL Extended X-chock

We have a set and they definitely work but it's NOT a fix. It did take a large portion of the bounce out. We also have 4 extra screw jacks (we're at a seasonal site) underneath plus the standard wheel chocks.

The amp is for over-the-air signals. When you have cable, just push the button off and it won't interfere with the picture.

I'm wondering about that, too. I had them on my old trailer and they worked great, but have resisted purchasing the extended ones for the Premier. I have the same bounce as described above, but it hasn't been enough to bother me (yet).

We got back from our trip yesterday and had a great time. The campground was the busiest we've ever seen it with all RV, tent, and overflow sites used. It was probably because of the perfect combination of Canada Day (Friday) and Independence Day (Monday). It was a big difference from earlier in the year when there were sometimes only a handful of RVs in the entire campground. What was really neat was that even after a year, the outdoor kitchen still attracted a lot of attention. It was a real conversation starter for anyone who walked by [emoticon].

My finaces won't allow the Steadyfast system before my next trip in August but that is def on my short list. I really just wantto say I enjoy everyone's contributions, and please feel free to share a pic of the bathroom shelf. Rainbow when you say you'v done lots to secure your, could you share anything else?

In addition to the quick fixes I have,I just had a small 5/16 roll pin snap inside my right weight distribution jack. GRRRR. Thank goodness for Sean at Pro Pride. He answers service calls on Fourth of July.
