Hey Gary, Brought home the Bullet on Friday, and my first two mod's were two Max Air 2 vents. I also had to tighten the screws on the plastic moudling around the wheel wells as they were a bit loose and flappy when I was driving. Our big mission is stocking the Bullet with all the necessary cooking, bedding and misc supplies for our first camping trip in 2 weeks! I bought a nice Craftsman impact gun for the stabilzer jacks. Hey don't let the rain discourage you. The Bullet is huge to hang out in! 2011 Bullet Premier 31BHPR with comfort package Pro Pride Hitch w/ Prodigy P2. Yea when I had to bring it back to the storage lot that I have it on. That table is 1000 times better than the comfort package table. How did your install go?

Bullet family help on low point drains please. I understand the fresh water tank drain, we empty the water usually when we leave campgrounds. But there are two more white plastic tube drains for my model on the bathroom side. We just noticed them this past weekend and they both still have some of that pink winterizing fluid left in them. Now I guess they are low point drains, I'm still a newbie with this. We had this dewinterized from the dealer but not sure they did such a good job. Is it typical to leave some of this fluid still in the drain? I'd think not or does any of this the heavier fluid gather there after some water flow throughout the camper? Don't you run water throughout the camper until it flows clear? Before I open these drains up and let this pink stuff out I'd thought I'd ask. Anything I need to know before I do this? Close anything, open anything, city water connection on/off, do anything with the heater? I know when we first got in the camper this spring we let the drains run totally clear as I noticed it being a slight pink tinted at the sink, so I opened all the faucets for awhile. Understanding this will also help us winterize/dewinterize ourselves. Thanks! 22 nights camping 2011 F250 Diesel Lariat Laissez les bons temps rouler! |

garysol wrote: ![]() Any one have any new updates, mods, interesting stories concerning our beloved Bullets? I have yet to use mine due to the crappy weather we have had this spring. Our next opportunity to use it is this weekend and it looks like another rainy one. We've got ours stored at a seasonal site so we've been out often. Probably more than usual camping since it's ready when we get there. It's our fishing spot location where we'd go anyway, it works out great. There's only a dozen sites, private and so very quite and beautiful with hills and wildlife. Easy to get the camper out and take it whenever we want to hit the road. So this combo storage and camp site is excellent for us. I agree the weather has been horrid so this is also the first weekend to really get out and look around at the camper. This is when we noticed the pink still in the low point drain tubes (see other post). Mods: We setup four camco stabilizer jacks to help movement. Did it help? Just a tad, it's definitely better but IMHO not a cure. We put out four, one each in front and behind the tires on each side. If there is a better location someone please advise. As was mentioned, even though it was wet, cold, windy, it was great to getaway and enjoy the camper and get moved in for the season. So if the weather is bad, grab a movie or puzzle and get away for the weekend! |

I have not even seen it yet. We got home from the west coast on Saturday and since we are going camping this weekend I figured it made more sense to pick the trailer up from the shop on Thursday and just bring it home as opposed to getting it now and having to take it to storage and then go back 3 days later and rehook to bring it to the house. Ill take pics this weekend. Any pictures of yours? |

Hey Rainbow, I dont remember from memory what the two low point drains your talking about are called but they def should've been emptied when it was winterized. The reason I know this is because mine were left in the same exact fashion (pink) and when the tech noticed it he said something to me. Maybe someone can clarify the name of the 2 low point drains your mentioning. I do have a question regarding the sewer rinse. How long do you hook up your hose to it and rinse it? The tech told me only 15-30 seconds. Can anyone confirm this? Full or partial water pressure? Also does anyone fill their black tank with a gallon of water and a bag of ice before leaving for home? I was told this is a good way to help dislodge anything stuck. |

Our next opportunity to use it is this weekend and it looks like another rainy one. When I installed a 22" Vizio in the main living area, I installed the old Jensen in the outdoor kitchen and then permanently sealed the gap around the swivel box. Install wasn't too back and I used the mount from the living room to get a flush install in the kitchen area so the TV doesn't protrude (SP?) to far into the kitchen area. For the 22" Vizio I installed an articulating mount so when sitting on the far left end of the couch you can still see the TV. Plus the Vizio has way better off axis viewing than the stock Jensen. Don't know how long to rinse. I'll watch for others responses. Ice trick can't hurt. We use The Geo Method. Not only does it make sense it works great so far. |
