looking at your pic reminds me to make my front jacks removable...

Did I miss something? How do you make the front or rear jack removeable?

If I end up needing to make the jack removable I think I would simply Attach the bolts to the jack with a nut then drill a hole midway down the bolt for a clevis pin. Pull the pin and the jack drops down.

that is how i am going to do it. that way if i think they may hit i can remove them, other wise i will just leave them attached.

Maybe use a spring below the clevis pin to keep everything tight until you feel the need to remove them

Call me crazy, but made the plunge and plunked down some money on a 31bhpr this week. Last of the comfort packages I could find, but price seems a bit higher than most on this site paid.

Taking the family for our very first camping trip next weekend. We'll get a rental unit (better to make sure they actually like camping before signing the paperwork), but this Premier is the only double slide I'm comfortable pulling with my Yukon.

It seems the overall opinion is that this is a good unit. Love to hear from the the naysayers. Anyone dislike this unit?

i don't dislike it. i pull mine with my tahoe and it is fine. just a little slow up the hills.

i was going to ask if anyone has put an inverter in. if you have details would be cool. i would like picture of the install. there is information overload on the net and this site.

Got the post about the ball size. Thanks. How about the trailer frame where the Equalizer bolts on to, is it 6 inch or 8 inches? I think the front of my starcraft is 6 inches. Have to measure.
Thanks in advance.

5.3L? How's your MPG?

I too, will be at max capacity with my Expedition EL. Because of that I'm taking a page out of the Virtual Garage playbook and I'm passing on the squeak a-lizer and going with the Pro Pride hitch with the Maxx Brake controller.

heytarzan,
I average 9 - 11 mpg when towing with our Tahoe.
9 at 70 mph
11 at 60-65 mph
