Topic: Keystone Bullet Premier

I've seen families put a large cooler - similar to what you would use for a sports team - on the table that dispenses water. I think we are going to get one too. This will also save on my kids coming in for drinks, opening and closing the frig, etc.
Diplomatic Security - how does he like it? We are ready for something different and could take our military retirement at any time.

We have a 3 gallon water cooler that stays in our bus. Every has a stainless steel water bottle they are responsible for keeping up with. We invested in this and stopped buying bottled water for days we are traveling. We can buy bag ice to add to keep it cold. We do have a stash of plastic cups for those that forget water bottles but then you don't get to have water traveling, just stopped.

Can someone with the comfort package take a picture underneath the kitchen sink on how the water filter is hooked up? They took mine apart when they winterized it and threw it out. I need to buy a new one and hook it up again but with all the plastic hoses I'm not sure where it goes.

Thanks in advance

Hi all Bullet owners,
I'm attaching a picture of the air matress in our 2012 28RLPT. Notice several of the bolts have let go making to uncomfortable to sleep on. I will be calling Keystone to see if warranty will cover it. Just wondering if anybody else has had this happen?

Just a quick note, while camping over the 4th, a storm hit and it rained hard for about 45 minutes. Wife saw a drip come from the trim piece on the ceiling of the slideout (about mid ceiling)[emoticon] . Long story short, the rubber gasket on the inside of trailer was not fastened properly and the screws that were there pulled thru the rubber[emoticon] .I always carry a well stocked toolbox, put washers on the screws and added some screws. Also made sure gasket was sealed down properly as it was twisted ! Never had this problem before, but I think i'll check those seals from now on !!!

Ah, finally this topic showing some life. Glad you were able to quickly identify the problem and fix it.

I have a question, how do you grease the slides? As my old TT was easy access underneath I could spray the push tube to keep it lubed...

How does one maintain theirs on the 31bhpr's, as there is no visible tube underneath, nor ontop of the slide...

Hi everyone! New to this forum. We have been a tent camping family of 4 for the past 15 years. Well after camping in this awful heat wave the wife says she is done with tents. She says its hotel rooms or a TT from now on. We have been looking at TT's the past couple of weeks and think the 31 BHPR is the perfect fit for us. (our tow vehicle, included features and so on). After reading through this entire thread we have a couple of questions for those of you who own one:

1) There seem to be some common issues with this trailer (leaking shower base, bent rear axle and bad leveling jacks, non attached hoses from the factory to name a few). Is this common in all makes of TT's? Do they all have some issues?

2) Do any of you regret buying this trailer and if so why?

3) What size is the bed in this camper? 60x80 or 60x74? I am 6'3 so it is an issue for me.

4) Being new to trailer camping some basic questions: How long will it take a family of 4 to fill the gray and black water tanks? How hard is it to empty the tanks? Where does your power come from when camping out of a camp ground if you have no generator?

5) How would you rate the build quality of this camper if you have owned other makes?

We thank you all for your input! This is going to be a major step up for us. I am perfectly comfortable in a tent but even I was miserable after this last trip. There is no fun in being miserable on vacation. We are outdoor people and I would prefer not to do the hotel room thing. We also love to travel so buying a "beach house" is not the answer. A TT is the route for us. We just need to decide which one is right for us.

Thanks!
The Lewis family.

1) My axle was indeed bent during the first year and covered under warranty.

2) I love my trailer. Every TT has their positives and negatives.
But I believe you will have that with any TT.

3) The bed may be an issue for you. I'm 6'2 and its tight. I was lucky enough to get the comfort package ( water filter, central vac, upgraded pillow tip) which is a much better mattress. Most stock TT mattress' are horrible.

4)The gray and black tanks are ( in my opinion) smaller and fill quicker on this TT. The gray more than the black. When there isn't full hookups it can be an issue depending on how long you stay. 90 percent of our stays have full water and sewer so its never a issue for us. Remember the BULLET PREMIER is much lighter than others because and I'm sure they had to make sacrifices to keep it under 6400 lbs or whatever the dry figure is.

This is my first TT, so I would say it is good. I had initial towing weight issues but the models I compared it against, this was built better. I would look at KZ Spree. A little heavier but well respected as a legit competitor.
The outside kitchen is plain awesome. Storage isn't great. That's it for now.
Good luck and take your time. RV Shows are your best way to compare build quality.

I had the leaking shower base. I had the dealer recaulk it and that didn't solve the problem. I finally figured out, that in my trailer, the leak was from where the shower door meet the side panels. I have the glass shower enclosure. My axle and leveling jacks appear to be fine after almost a year of ownership. My hoses were also fine except one just had to be tightened where the city water connects to the trailer.

2) Do any of you regret buying this trailer and if so why?
No, I do not regret buying it. Of course there are always "other" trailers out there the minute you buy a new one and you may miss things about your old one. I am pretty happy with mine and do not regret it.

3) What size is the bed in this camper? 60x80 or 60x74? I am 6'3 so it is an issue for me.
I am 5'9" and I find it to be a little short at 60x74. I replaced the mattress with a tempurpedic and now I love sleeping in the camper.

4) Being new to trailer camping some basic questions: How long will it take a family of 4 to fill the gray and black water tanks? How hard is it to empty the tanks? Where does your power come from when camping out of a camp ground if you have no generator?
I usually only camp at full hook up locations so I cannot help you with this too much. My floorplan has two 30 gallon gray tanks so I have a little more wiggle room then the other Premiers. The black tank, for two people, will last a good 5 or 6 days. Sewer hook up and dumping is a breeze after doing it a couple of times.
5) How would you rate the build quality of this camper if you have owned other makes?I had a Starcraft and a Coachmen. I find the build quality to be pretty much the same and I am pleased with it. I have had no issues with build quality except one item. My back door was delaminating immediatly after I bought it. The dealer replaced it with a new door without any hassle.
