3. the recliner chairs rock WAY to far back so I cut a 3" block spacer for each chair.

There were two floor plans we looked at with these rocker/recliner type chairs at the back window. They each had slide outs but one only went out 18" compared to the 28RLPR which is 36". Now if you were sitting in that recliner and pulled it forward for a tad more space you'd be running into the couch! The person sitting on the couch would have no leg room at the end where the chair is. I wonder how many people find this out AFTER they purchase that model. These rocker/recliners work best if pulled forward a few inches so you don't lean back into the screen or rear window shade.

Now explain what this 3" block is and how you use it?

I simply cut a couple of 2x4's six inchs and added a flat 1x4" on the flat side and stick them under the back of the chair and the floor. This way the chairs don't go back into the "dentist chair" position LOL! I hope it will also help keep the rear corner of the chair out of the side window screens as I already had to pull the screen tight and re-bead it.

I think I get it! Get a picture someday and post. We may have to try this next season. I turned the chair upside down once to see if there was an adjustment to the springs on how much to let it go back but didn't see anything. Honest, didn't take much time looking as we were cleaning to leave. Might be something that I overlooked.

The "reclining" is nice though when we put our feet up on the stools. Not sure if you saw in one of my post the square block stool we have, faux brown leather, lid comes off to store things inside or turn lid over and use as a tray. Comes in extremely handy and doesn't take up much room. A decorator essential [emoticon]

Sounds like we have the same thing with the foot stool. I took a picture of my chair stopper. I found a 2x4 on end was too much and laid flat was too little. Adding the 1x4 seemed to do the trick.

500 miles and the mountains of west virginia down. So far so good. We are parking at a truck stop in ky for the night. I was worried about running the generatoall night due to the noise, but when I got here I realized all the trucks were idling anyway, heck my 8k was the quietest thing out here. The Chevy is doing great and the trailer is handling the trip great. The whole family took our showers, watched some recorded tv, ate and are ready to rack out. Hoping to knock out 400 tomorrow!

1050 miles in and one word today, WINDY! The Equlizer hitch was no match for the midwestern winds. I had to slow down to 50 in some places due to being pushed around so badly. Now they are calling for snow tonight, and the heavy rain has already started. Time to test the thermal package. And we were also told no generator in this rest area. Thank the good lord that the heater runs on 12VDC! I had to remember to unplug from the truck, just in case we kill the deep cycle. Only 200 more miles to go!

Nice report so far. You'll be more comfy in the TT compared to tent camping! I remember those days. lol Safe travels, you're almost there.
