Last of the yard work is done for the year. Now just need to change the oil in the mower,power washer,bike ect.

31 this morning. It keeps getting warmer. Does that mean spring is coming? Soon?
That stupid groundhog is never right. His show is about 5 weeks away.

I'm about 175 miles, by road, from Punxsutawney. A friend worked there, they have several groundhogs. They are well treated and cared for by volunteers. It's been a tradition since the 1880's. So he (or she) have been replaced many times.
It's probably just a reason to party. I doubt much to do in Punxsutawney during February.

Never could figure out the deal with the hogs and shadows. But I guess old folk lore lives on.

Two words. Tourist Attraction.
The hog is just entertainment. Around here the first day of Spring means 6 more weeks of winter.
