Baton Rouge is on I-10.... 30 miles or so east of todays destination.... it's a no brainer....

We reached Baton Rouge late and blew on through....

Heading for Pats Fishermans Wharf in Henderson, LA

The next day would be our 51st wedding anniversary... we we looking forward to spending it with Harvey (the owner/manager) and his wife... I wrote about them a few years ago... wonderful people, kind, generous. We had traded gifts and invitations to visit each others homes.

We pulled in after dark... found a place to park (the only place available.... the parking lot was jammed.

We inspected the inside of the camper.... it had survived.

Janet was a little bit cool and had reashed out fot a very small "airline" blanket while we were still in the truck.... Oops! she felt a pain in her shoulder.... damn!

What else could go wrong.... bad roads and a sore shoulder?

We went inside the resturant... sat at the bar... had some appitizers and drinks... visited with Harveys sister who was running the resturant that night and went to bed.

When we woke the next morning we were an island in the middle of the parking lot.

Do you like my front leveling blocks?

We had to leave the slide in when we went to bed the night before... Happy tipplers at midnight could tear a slide out room off the camper in a hurry
