The DH had cataracts that needed surgery before he was even 50. Likes to say he had to chase himself around the house to make himself put all the drops in 'em.
You've got a couple months of hot weather before it cools down enough to make traveling fun. Hopefully everything will be healed up by then.

Janet had her right eye done a few days ago... this time without the excruciating pain. We are down to 8 drops per day in her eye now. After the first surgery she was surprised that our 51 years of marriage was still intact.
She is excited... no glasses at all... colors are brilliant, she can see a mouses toe nails at a thousand feet, and read the fine print on an asperine bottle. The Dr says she is now a sniper.
I've been working on the camper's punch list between times for the drops... and of course sort of keeping up with the house. ![awink [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/awink.gif)
We'd like to get to Charleston and Savannah late this fall. Maybe salt the camper a bit in that area.
Stop by if you get a chance in east Tennessee.

Several years ago I had the cataract surgery on both eyes 6 weeks apart. Now I only use "cheater glasses" when reading the fine print. Luckily both eyes went great.

LOL Great to read the good news!
My dad experience the same remarkable color fidelity, sharpness of vision, depth of field after the same surgery. It is like a new lease on life.

I haven't forgotten... I have been working on our camper in between the medical stuff. An hour here, a day there.
Doing... Repairs, Mods, cleaning, painting,etc.
After 10 years and nearly 3 years of travel the wear and tear, and function of our camper had slipped a little.
I'll have atleast one major mod to share... hint: Making more and better use of PVSolar.
Thanks for your patience.
There is some good stuff promised and still coming from our LA and Texas trip.

I have been working on my TC project list over the last couple of months... I hope this flurry of activity between eye drops, etc will last for a long time... I really need to do a Project Report.
I have had 2 leaf springs added to the truck, that job was bigger than me.
I have replaced the foam in the dinette seats, It really made a difference.
I have removed rust caused by too many nights at the ocean and painted the camper jacks and other exposed metal
I have repaired a weak joint in the slide out opening frame work...
I replaced the last of my incadesent lights with LED's
I have completely rehab'd the Fantastic 6000 exhaust fan in the camper bath room... new motors, lift mechinism, and rain sensor
and I have redesigned the equipment and function of the camper galley... it is now a lot more PVSolar friendly
I'll have to get out my honey-do list and add the things I've forgotten to this update.

I hope to eventually get back to this thread...
... we both have medical issues that have us at a stand still. I'm totally exhausted... and Janet has weeks of immobility before she can even consider physical therpy.
I have got some positive tests... and I'm told that I'm going through some more medical tests and have some very hard decissions to make.
You'll all be at this point someday... baring accidental death. Age spares no one.
I hope that yo can keep camping forever. Me too!
Thanks to all of you for following along.

So do we. You and your lovely wife get well sooner rather than later.

Don't make me come there and get you Chet!
It gets lonely out on the road knowing you and Janet are not turning around some corner down the road from me, somewhere.
Stay in touch. You know where I am and how to find me.
