To all of you shadetree mechanics that did the mod after myself, Barney and John - great job - enjoyed reading your feedback... [emoticon] [emoticon] [emoticon] 2 thumbs up to all of you as well [image] [image]

There shall be no mod before it's time......[emoticon]

I have the "shocks in the box"....[emoticon] just have to deal with front axle and shock top dust cover hitting the I beam frame issue.[emoticon] Enclosed tanks create issues to work thru.[emoticon] Rear axle no problem, can mount inboard.

No worries, in time they too shall come.

@ $30 less than what I paid, but I have had the use all these weeks and it needed to be done due to my worn parts.

Les, Don't feel alone.... They got me too. I bought mine at the Trailer Parts Super store for $240, they now have them at $199 and even and Dexter direct for $180.... Oh well. It won't be the last time I'm sure....

Dexter now has the kit for $160.00 that is with shipping. I got mine today and installed one side this afternoon. It took about 2 hrs for one side. The only problem was the locking nuts strip the threads while removing. Had to cut one of the nuts of with a air grinder.I also plan on installing shocks next.

I wish I had seen this several weeks ago as I just had to have all the springs replaced on my Cougar 'cuz they were all broken and they could have installed these while they had it apart..I will be doing it myself, unless my service guys give me a really good price..

We figgered that my rig was well within it's weight, but we don't think the manufacturers take into consideration the effect that happens when your trailer hits a hole or whop-de-doo (bridge joint) at 60mph,goes up in the air and then comes crashing back down on those minimum gross axles and springs..
