Gas is over $4 at most places around here. Electric is far less at 11 cents per kWh and 4 miles per kWh gives less than 4 cents per mile. 50 mpg vehicle cost over twice as much fuel per mile.

Noticed diesel drop below regular today by 2 cents. 3.93 vice 3.95. This will be the last report from Palm Springs California as we are headed north for the summer. Looking forward to our little place on the lake in the Okanagan valley of BC but will also miss our southern california home and American friends.

Stay safe on the road y'all.

Gasoline prices around here are slowly drifting down. Prices are down to $3.53. Looks like a penny a week. [emoticon]

Prices are still drifting down. Many stations are now down to $3.51. Diesel prices are around $4.00 a gallon.

Florida diesel $4.05
Georgia $3.77
S Carolina $3,84
N. Carolina $3.87

Soon the birds will have left Florida and it is good to know fuel is cheaper as you go north but am sure it is higher in the heating oil states. $4.00 is fine with me as I paid 5.00 in 2008!

It must be time to go, the suns out and I've got a full tank of diesel!
We have a granite fireplace hearth! Love to be a little different.

Fuel prices in Florida always go down when the snowbirds leave (along with many other things).
