Take an extra sweater/jacket with you and a lounge chair. When it gets dark, turn off all the lights, and watch the sky. You seen the Milky Way lately? Magnificent!

We've had some clear nights this year in the mountains. It's been great out here in the dark.

rehoppe ,

Well, have to admit...with all the wild fires around our fav boondocking areas this summer...we haven't been able to get out to camp that much.[emoticon] The DH bought a new telescope too, but we have only been able to use it around town up at Horsetooth Reservior. And the city lights hinder the view. Hopefully, we will be able to get out in the forest camping before winter sets in. Sure would love to see the Milky Way....been an entire year since I got a really good look of it!

HAPPY CAMPING!!

That is a Frontgate infrared propane grill. It was just enough to warm the hands while we watched the sun drop.

We are thinking about getting a Lil red gas campfire at Camping world. It's tiny but so are the fires I build. That way we can still have our fire and not worry about being the next guy on the news saying how sorry they are and that it was a accident.

JiminDenver,

Cool......[emoticon]where did you the Frontgate grill? That really looks cozy! We thought about getting one of those gas campfires too. Never know, might get one of those one of these days.

The grill was a gift to us but I know Frontgate was only rebadging it when they sold it. I was looking for another for a friend and a search on infrared grills brought up one that looks just like it under another brand. Around $350 I think.
I can tell you that it takes no time at all to get to cooking temps. High is really really hot and we use medium when we grill.
