Make sure that 28 footer has 3 axles - if it only has 2 - RUN! They made a few with 2 and realized that it couldn't do the job. The FSW2800, although it may have the somewhat lighter aluminum siding than most of the gelcoat ones you typically see, it is a widebody model (heavier, more liquid storage etc.). You should be in the balpark with your truck though...

Also keep in mind that Weekend Warrior's year models were always WAY early so a 2008 could have been sold in late 2006. there should be a label on the forward left side of the trailer that will have the GVWR and the date of manufacture. I had an FS2600 and had to replace the factory hitch on my truck due to excessive tongue weight. If this 2800 has 3 axles the tongue weight may not be as much of an issue? As posted by dkipz, I would stay away from the two axle model.

The Weekend Warrior Trailer Class Settlement Website is still up and running, however the toll free number has been disconnected.
http://www.trailersettlement.com/index.php3

I sent an email off to the plaintiff's attorney to see if the claims submitted will still be honored. Zieman Manufacturing Co is still viable and they should be responsible and pay for their portion of comparative negligence. If and when I hear back, I'll post.......

Guys, it is triple axle so I am good on that. They say it has a build dat of 2007.

Next question please.

I am now also looking at a Rage FSC 2800 in great shape. Triple axel as well.

So Weeken Warrior FSW 2800 or ragen FSC 2800. Warrior is Aluminum Siding. That is about the only major difference. I am looking to pull the trigger tomorrow.

I had a 2005 Weekend Warrior FS2600 with aluminum sides and liked it a lot. We now have a 2008 Ragen with the fiberglass vacuum bonded walls and we love it. I believe the Ragen was a step up from the WW. The vacumm bonded wall offer better insulation but they are also an additional 800-1000 lbs. The bonded walls also block sound much better if you ever camp in loud areas like we do. one of the main reasons I was looking at the Ragen at the time I bought was that they came with 16" wheels and Maxxis Tires however when ours got built they had changed to 16" Transmaster tires. So far so good but I will probably be going with LT tires next.

If the Ragen has bonded walls? +. If it has 16" wheels and tires ++.

With eiether one of those trailers you will need a good weight distributing hitch and and possibly an upgraded hitch on your truck to replace the factory setup.

Thanks it has the bonded walls.

Interesting the Aluminum WW is listed at 8479 UVW and the Fiberglass Ragen is listed at 7025..

My warrior was almost 2000 lbs. more than the listed UVW. My Ragen was closer but if I remember right it was almost 1000 lbs. more than listed UVW. I took both of them to the truck scales empty just to find out.

I have a 2005 WW FSC 28 footer with 16" wheel/tire combo and have never had a tire issue. So I wouldn't tell someone to not purchase one with two axles. Mine has a gvwr of 13,000lbs.

I's ask the owners of both if they have weight receipts for the trailers just to see if they ever confirmed the actual dry weight. We did that with the dealer before we bought ours and yes it was heavier than what was lsited and tagged.

Seriously good advice on this trailer with 2 axles only.
