If you have any other RV repair facilities in your area, you might want to shop around and see if they can beat that price. $2,500 seems pretty high for that. Maybe the dealer is trying to recoup some of their WW losses.

I hope you have good luck. This is an awful situation that so many customers like you are in.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, it's really $1000 to seal the unit and $1500 to repair the current leak's damage including inside panelling replacement, etc. The re-seal is pretty extensive: all windows, doors, roof accessories/edges, corner moldings removed and sealed.

At least I'll have a 12 month warranty against further leaks (it's Florida).

At this point my choices are limited. Thanks again.

Regards,

David

trigeek,
I have the R27T which is the original SS2400 from National RV before WW bought the ToyHauler line from National. As far as I know there are no problems with that unit. I understand that the Rage'n units were build by the same folks that were with National RV, so if that is true, you should not have any problmes with the SS2400.

How do you check the thickness of the tongue on the FK1900? Mine is an O6 what are chances it's 1/8"?

If you are concerned about the issue regarding the frame - it has to do with FS 2600, FS 2800, FS 3000, and some SuperLite models.

Check the beginning of this thread for the link to the action. You'll find all the info pertaining to the fix. It has to do with the "C" channel that runs from the hitch back to the frame. Not just the tongue.

My buddy has a FK1900 and it's just fine.
