Truck: GAWR Front-5,500 lbs.; GAWR Rear-6,200 lbs.; GVWR 10,100 lbs.; GCWR-21,000 lbs.

Truck and 5th Wheel less than half fuel, all tanks on fiver-1/2 indicated: Front Axle-4,920 lbs.; Rear Axle-5,660 lbs.; Gross Combined Weight-19.280 lbs.

Edit as a response to cdlaine's post below mine, and how he hopes to get 20 years out of his 13 year old truck. My (almost) 6 year old truck has 10,200 miles, so I will be on his tail (maybe a few years behind).

After reading these posts I thought I'd reanalyze
my most recent Cat scale data... (see sig.) they have
remained consistent for the past 4 years... so ,unlike
me, not much weight creep.[emoticon]

Here are the take home lessons (as expected):

290 #'s under F GAWR
264 #'s under R GAWR
840 #'s over GVWR (truck)
1680 #'s under GVWR (5ver = 14,300 per NW)
2120 #'s under GCWR (truck + 5ver = 22,000 per GM).
Pin @ 21.3 %

so, no surprises. Tows well. Stops well. Handles grades well.
I do not haul water. (IMO) I believe the 5ver is under axle'ed (6000 lbs.)
(Northwood has since moved to 7K) , and under tire'ed. (e-rated). I'm that
guy that sets cruise control at 55 and stays there...
unless feeling really racey and move to 57 mph.[emoticon]

Truck left pretty much stock, exceptions: K&N filter, Air bags, Transfer
flow mid-ship replacement tank. Hope to get 20 years
out of the Chevy... sitting on 13 now. Not much I'd change.

Charles

HELP! We are heading West from Florida to Washington state for work. I have a 2013 F150 SuperCab v8 5.0 with 355 ratio re. The Ford service department gave me the towing capacity of 9600 lbs with 13800 gcwr. I am not sure where you all find all the numbers listed in posts.
We have been looking at the 5th wheel 1/2 ton towables, Jayco 27.5 RLTS and Grand Design Reflection 29rs. Both are dry weight 8000lbs. Naturally the dealers are telling me my truck can pull them both with no issues. So I come to you guys to help a newbie out. I can not get a bigger truck at this time so I have to find a trailer I can tow across the country and possibly live in for a year so comfort is a big concern. To get the same floor plan in a TT they are coming in around 34' which to me is a bit longer then I would want.

I know this is a topic over killed but I am not sure how to find all the proper ratings.

Stop! Those dealers don't know jack. There are 12 different styles of the F150 and there is only one the may be able to tow a 5th wheel. Since yours has only a 3:55 ratio, I'm certain it's not 5th wheel capable. But to prove it for yourself, consider using RV Tow Check to find out what the realistic vehicle towing capacity is.

Lets look at it this way: You have a Combined Gross of 13,800 you hook up an RV at your rated capacity of 9,600, now subtract that 9,600 from your GCWR and leaves you 4200 for your truck, cargo, 5th wheel hitch, and passenger. My bet your truck weighs more than the remaining 4200 Lbs. Plus to add to the confusion, those 8000 Lb Dry weights are for a base model before any options, so they actual out the factory door will usually be higher. My last two fivers left the factory better than a 1000 Lbs above brochure dry weights.

Here are my cat scales weights.

2015 Ford F350 SRW not hooked to 5er
Steer Axles 4740
Rear Axles 3480
GVWR 11500
Payload 3744
RAWR 7000

Steering Axles 4880
Rear Axles 6460
Trailer Axles 10980
Total 22320

Keystone Montana 3711FL Stats
Camper Weights 14,100
Truck with 5er hitched 11340
Pin Weight 3120
Pin Percentage 22.1

5er Dry weights
Pin Dry 2790
Total Dry 13200

Loaded for a weekend trip. The front living room and front storage was loaded with every thing in it that we would take camping. The bedroom and the food pantry including the fridge are aft of the front axles so those shouldn't increase pin weights by adding weight.

Any theories about why your front axle weight went down with the fiver hitched? Does not seem possible to lose 280#, even if your hitch were placed too far rearward.

Numbers look good for a 3/4T truck.
