Cat Scale Truck fully loaded, wife 2 dogs, cat and full fuel. 7440# Scale truck and 03 30RLBS Cedar Creek 19,600# 20000 The above weight was returning from Florida with about #500 extra lbs on board in the truck box including 3 tool boxes, television, microwave, suitcases, misc boxes of food and other junk that I normally do not carry, about 500 extra lbs. that was onboard when I had it weighed. LOADED WEIGHTS Scale Rated Front Axle 4400 5200 Rear axle 5920 6010 Trailer while attached to truck 9280 Truck alone Scale ticket Front axle 4380 5200 Rear axle 3060 6010 Truck overall empty 7440 GVWR 9000 Truck only with camper attached 10300 GVWR 9000 Tire capacities are 3195 each 12780 total cap Trailer GVWR 12190 Trailer tires 3042 each Axe rating 5200 Over ratings 1300 Minus the 500 lbs extra about 800# over GVWR rating. Air lifts add 1000# capacity so if I had air lifts I would be under ratings. Picture can be seen in our profile: TV--2003 4dr Dodge 3500 2 wheel drive w/5.9 Cummins 5'ver--2000 Terry 30.5 EX series Actual scaled weights Steer axle--4,220 lbs. Drive axle--6,400 lbs. Trailer axles--8,900 lbs. Pin weight--2660 lbs. total gross weight--19,520 lbs. TV tires: Goodyear Wrangler SR-A LT 235/80R17 load range E Max load single 3,086 lbs. @ 80 lbs.air pressure Max load dual 2,835 lbs. @ 80 lbs. air pressure Trailer tires: Goodyear Wrangler HT LT 215/85RT16 load range E Max load single 2,680 lbs. @ 80 lbs. air pressure If you do the math you will see all tires are below their listed max. load carrying capacity. Trailer is the closest. To date the TV tires have 53,000+ miles on them. I have rotated them 3 times & don't plan to replace them until we return home in the spring. This will include a trip to Quartzsite, AZ. See you there, Emptypockets |

Great topic... before I post my weights, this is something that I didn't realize for a long time.... Weigh scales, at least in Oregon, are free to the users... well, not free - you pay with your gas taxes.. point being if you see a scale and are at all curious - USE IT!! It's a great too to see what you're towing at. TV - Nissan Titan 4X4 LE CC TT - 1992 Terry 26T TT After many trips through the scale this is the average.. most times were within a hundered pounds one away or the other; Front axle - 3300 Rear axle - 3450 TT axles - 6250 This was with a weight distributing hitch set to the best choice. I've since sold the combo and have a 2500 Duramax and 30' Montana 5th wheel.... I'll report once I hit a scale. |
