I've only spent 4 or 5 hours looking at this thread, so I haven't read it all. Anyone reposition the handles on their waste tank valves to someplace where you don't have to kneel in who knows what kind of ick and goop to open and close them? You would think this would be a common modification. I really want to do it, but there doesn't appear to be kits available with mounting brackets and cables and such. Tell me how you did it. Thanks.

They make electrically operated waste valves...That is your best solution.

I did something to get around that. Let's see if I can get a couple photos in here. They're sorta self-explanatory, but I'll add a bit of narration:
This first one is how the handles are WAY up under the skirt. I was in your situation and needed a fix, quick! (lost a handle and got it replaced later)

I had a couple access doors cut in, and now I can easily reach the handles. Here's a shot of how it looks all completed.

Hope that helps.

So this is a little thing I do for when we are Dry Camping with no access to water.
I added hose valves to a 30 Gallon Barrel. Some locations I know I can get Potable water within a truck ride of the campgrounds, some places I bring it filled. (on a side note I always have my trailer tank filled when traveling.)
I use this to wash hands, dishes, water the dog, ei: utility water. This will allow a family of five to camp comfortably for almost a week.

Even our 2.5 year old wild one has it down pat.

You can see it here between the powerwheels and behind the BBQ.

On the extra water tank, the best pic is with your 2 1/2 year old. Our oldest grandson is into Pandas and has a Panda version of that hat. Cute!

Love the idea of the outdoor water source.. We (2 adults, 2 kids) are going on a 30+ day road trip this summer with a smaller trailer. Only 20G of water on board along with smaller grey/black tanks. Bringing outside water along should alleviate some water issues.. Thanks for the idea.

Nice Idea. I'm thinking of doing just that, but filling the drum instead of the trailer so I can carry the water ahead of the rear axle in the truck...

I thought about that too, but now that I have the Hensley Arrow, it's not an issue.
I got these at a Dairy Supply store, and they had an iodine, for food grade uses. They have been steam cleaned and bleached to make sure the are good, but I still don't use it for drinking water, but I could.
We go out to the desert racing, and I bring two filled, in my truck for the group to use as utility water.
When I go hunting I don't bring my travel trailer, but I still bring these for... utility water.
I find many uses and normally I leave one filled at home for emergency use. And I always add a little bleach to them to make sure they are always kept clean.

Thanks, he's a little animal. He turns it around some times and growls. It reminds me of the little wild boy in Mad Max. My other son has the Panda, and my daughter has the bunny.

The wife is out of town, so I was able to play this evening. I bought a cheap wifi backup camera on e-bay for about $30. I also bought a plastic electronics enclosure for $5. It's about the size of a deck of cards. I attached the camera itself to the bottom of the enclosure (box), and put the wifi module in the box. Drilled holes in the box for the antenna and the wires. I used heavy duty adhesive tape to mount the box just below the center clearance light. I spliced the power for the camera to the light wires, and sealed it all up. No news holes in the trailer. Rear view camera for under $50. It connects to my phone as a wifi hotspot. I'll probably buy a cheap mini tablet as a dedicated monitor. I would take a picture, but it's just a little black box on the back of the trailer. Not really picture worthy.
