Our new to us TV will get some better shots once we get it all finished up. 1997 FLD Freightliner 375 cat 3406e 10 speed Eaton and 3.73 20000lbs rear. I think we have enough to handle the 3712TS Raptor now it was a struggle with the old 1992 ford F 350.

Boy i know what you mean i took 2 short trips in ours with a ford F350 and realized real quick if we left the state is was going to take more truck, and being an over the road truck driver for 19 years i knew just what to handle that a single axle rig. Ours is some what older and different but its the same principle horse power and torque move weight and big frames hold it all together. The rear one ours wasn't moved forward so it has a little longer wheel base and should smooth the ride a bit as well as give us room up front to haul some things that want fit in the garage. Good looking rig

Been wanting a Suburban for a long time. With 3 kids the extended cab pick ups weren't going to work for us. 3 kids crammed that tightly for an extended trip? No thanks, brother!
My DW and I came across this little number on New Year's Eve, and now it's sitting in my garage! Lots better then the Windstar that it replaced. Plus, now I don't have to borrow my Dad's Explorer to haul my pop up when I want to go camping! Also, we're looking at getting a larger HTT in the very near future (maybe next weekend!) and this should handle the task just fine.
But the best thing of all is it's completely paid for!
If your thinking about doing a gear swap look for a nice low mile used rear axle out of a Yukon Denali or Caddy Escalade. These are direct bolt in axles and 9.5" rear ends (much more up to the task of towing). They can be had for under a grand, probably have 1500 in it if you swap to 4.10s and change brake pads. The 9.5 is a beast of this rear axle.
