Now this would be a very cheap alternative to towing a 5ver in Australia. There are much later model Japanese trucks that would be as cheap, but not many Aussie's use them to tow 5 vers. Horse Trucks or Horse floats as they are known here , but not fvers

This is what could be in Australia..a Rivenlee Horse and 5th Wheel Trailer. They make cat A motorhomes as well built on European Trucks.

Without getting too far off Topic the Unicat type of vehicle is common here as a Off-Road Tourist Coach or Motor Home. Here are two examples:
an ACCO(local Model, Truck)

This is a pic of our TV, we tow a 2005 Alfa 5ver with a gross of about 18000lbs.
There's a link to our webshots page of our rig and RV...

We've added a power lift for the Suzuki that we have on the back since these pics were taken and will get the pic of that change soon.
We towed for years with our 97 Ford (we still own it and love it) PS F350drw crew cab, 5spd/gear vendor, Banks with intercooler, air ride rear suspension, Trail Saver air ride hitch, Banks exhaust brake and more.
We were at or beyond the trucks real life ability to tow safely and decided to go to a bigger unit, researched MDT and HDT and for the $ and safety we chose the HDT and will NEVER go back to a pick up or MDT to tow.
Happy Travels.
