Well, with the DW eyeing up fifth wheels, it was time to upgrade the tow vehicle in preparation. This time around we made a few more concessions to comfort than with our last truck.
2016 Ram 3500 with the Cummins diesel. Overkill for our current TT, but should match nicely with what comes next.
ONE of these trucks is going to be the last one I buy for a long, long time. I hope it's this one. I don't even want to think about what they're going to cost in another 4-5 years.
Jason, Angie, and our boys, Sean (13) and Liam (8)
Now with Radar and Daisy, both Boston Terriers. Missing Artemus the Labrador, gone on ahead.
2016 Ram 3500 CC Big Horn - 6.7 Cummins - B&W RVK3600 hitch
2015 Palomino Sabre 33RETS Platinum fifth wheel

Nice truck always loved the Fords. With the 5.0L (Mustang GT) engine I bet it moves out empty. How does it pull your trailer?

It's only got about 450 miles on so can't tow with it yet. Break In is for 1000 miles, so I still have some time. Then I have to adjust the hitch from the 2012 F150.
It is the second faster vehicle I've owned. The first being a 2010 Mustang GT Convertible Premium.
These trucks are pretty quick for the last 12 years. My 2004 Titan 5.6L Crew Cab was quick at 7.3 sec 0 - 60, my 2010 F150 Crew Cab 5.4L was 7.9 sec 0 - 60, my 2012 F150 5.0L Crew Cab at 6.7 sec 0 - 60 and even my 2008 Sport Trac 4.6L at 7.5 sec 0 - 60.
I'm calculating from the lost of weight compared to the 2012 5.0L, and the 20 extra horsepower to be around 5.4 sec 0 - 60. I can't tell you how much power this thing has. I broke the wheel loose at about 35mph and barked them while accelerating to pass someone. Didn't expect it to take off that quick!
