Well then I think it's a done deal then for this truck as well. The 50 gallon one.
I like your idea of adding the second filler.
I did the math as well and that's what I got for mileage too. Would be great to travel that long and not fill up.

We are looking at making sure it comes with the Traxx 3 system from transfer flow. Pretty much does that same thing. Did the measurements and we would have about 8 inches between the hitch and tank. Made me think of the 75 gallon tank but I think that would be a bit much for where we go and a lot of fuel weight.
This truck is used 85% of the time just for the fifth wheel and 2% of the time used to tow our 33' atv trailer and rest parked in the garage.

The pictures were great
Thanks for the info!!!

2016 RAM 3500 CCLB Big Horn Cummins/Aisin with 5th wheel prep. Ordered on Dec 26 and picked up March 1st. Loving it so far. 4000lb payload, compared to 1165 in my 2012 RAM 1500 Outdoorsman that I traded in. Had that truck for 3.25 years and cost me $4200. New truck is getting way better fuel mileage but only have 700 miles on it so far.

Tvov yes my truck is 1996 and it has 51K original miles! Most people want brand new trucks my dream truck was that body style with the 5.7 vortec my dad had one when I was growing up and it was a great reliable truck so when I seen this one I jumped on it.

That truck ^^^^^ should last a long time, I have a 99 Tahoe with the last of the 5.7 Vortex engine with 245K and still runs great with all the original running gear!

If your truck is the same as my Tahoe I would highly advise getting rid of the heater hose quick disconnect at the passenger side front of the engine. They have been known to pop off! Also keep an eye on your water level the intake manifold gasket is known to leak. Take care of those two items and good maintenance you will have a long lasting truck!

Cummins12V98 yes I have herd of these problems and have been keeping my eye on the coolant level and so far so good I bought it with 41,818 miles on it and it just rolled 51k miles a few days ago and I haven't had a single issue. I'm swapping my fluids to amsoil here in a few weeks.

I can't stress enough you REALLY need to get the heater hose fixed. When it comes off you will most likely smoke your engine!

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but cummins12v98 what do I do to prevent the heater hose issue? Do I replace it with a new one?
