not at this time I lost my job in 2007 due to being totally disabled 90% arthritis in the whole body and a bunch of other problems so had to sell off camper to get smaller camper and then had to sell that to pay storage bill and to have Christmas while waiting for disability to kick in now me credit is so messed up and I don't make enough to make a car payment at a buy here pay here so I am relying on friends and mostly family to get me around now a days because the other guy didn't have insurance and mine didn't cover me I personally am fine just no vehicle any more in a town with no public transit kinda stinks

That should be a great towing truck for many years. Probably needs a washing by now. Darn new truck seem to need to be clean. chevman

Nice truck, Randy! Why is the first picture made to look like a well made model of a truck? Background blurred out and colors look enhanced or something.

Wow, that's quite a setup and an interesting hitch setup. Based on the places I been with a outfit like yours I'm sure I would of taken out a few trees and several tenters.
The idea of the hitch being so far behind the axle is two-fold. The first is that, in time, we are going to put a Smartcar cross-wise ahead of the trailer. Second, is maneuverability. Having the hitch so far back behind the axle gives very fine control over where the trailer is headed and, we sure don't need to be aware of unloading the front axle.

Why did you put a 5th wheel extension so far behind the axle?? With such a short wheelbase (for a Semi), wouldn't that make the steering feel light??
My sisters L8000 had the trailer sit right over the axle. She had the truck where it would use either a 5th wheel or gooseneck.

The axle is setup in the same place as the front axle when it was still a 3-axle truck. The short wheelbase, the front axle setback and a sharp front axle cut (55 degrees) makes it a very maneuverable truck, actually turning within the radius of a dually longbed. It's really very nice to drive with trailer on the back end.
