I love the Flame Blue but thought about going with 2 other truck colors that were available with options I needed. One was black with a two tone silver stripe on the bottom and a Dark Blue with the a two tone silver stripe on the bottom. I don't find the two tone stripes very sporty looking and really don't care for them, specially on a dull color like the dark blue. My 2008 Sport Trac was that same dark blue and I always wished they offered an Electric Blue (Blue flame) for that truck. They did in following years.

I thought I would love the black and silver until I saw it. I liked it but I didn't love it. I'm a one tone guy as I like the black much better all by itself like on our 2012 Escape.

Blue has always been my color of choice.

We tow with a 2003 Toyota Tacoma with 2.4L four cylinder, manual 5 speed, Firestone rear air bags, and Leer Shell. It gets 17 to 18MPG towing our CampLite on the interstate @ 55MPH in non mountain areas.

Mike, I'd enjoy hearing your towing impressions with the new truck. I don't know my trucks well, but seems the biggest difference for you is the 3.78 locking rear end?

Thanks. [emoticon]

The 3.73 gearing helps a lot but the biggest difference is the shifting strategy of the transmission with the 5.0L. It downshifts sooner and holds gears longer, keeping the engine in the higher rpms for max torque output and making passing effortless.

I agree the 3.73 with a 6spd and T/H is an unbeatable combo now for towing...

Finally found something to pull the 5er with. It will only see a couple hundred miles a year so I set a very low budget, and this came in well below at $2300 complete with 16k 5th wheeh hitch already installed.
