You can install it yourself. Take your time and follow the directions. If you feel more comfortable, the dealer can do it for a fee. I believe RVW still has the best price shipped right to you. Don't forget a good brake controller as well, like a prodigy.

Exact same thing here...except, I bought the JayCo 19H. (I know less about this stuff then you). How, and when did you sell your PUP? I have an "02 Rockwood Premier" that I have to sell (loaded). I'm in St Paul, newly retired, and rare'in to go. You speak of buying an "equalizer"...would the RV shop install one for me, or would it be advised to install myself?...Thanks!
I am gonna install the Equalizer myself. Its just a WDH not a rocket engine. I think we can install ourself. You can buy it from RVW, free shipping
I sold the mustang on Craigslist, ![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v494/lanningjw/DSC_0001-8.jpg)

Congrats. An intelligent choice
We are picking up our new Shamrock 19 (same as Roo) on May 7th. We loved the features, floorplan and decent reviews.
For the Equal-i-zer, got the 600/6000 model as well, best suited for this unit and we do not plan to ever have a bigger/heavier model. Got it from a US dealer, had it delivered to a friend in the Buffalo area and drove over to pick it up - as Canadian dealers sell it for close to twice the price.
I am installing it myself, have done the TV part - with the help of a truck repair shop to torque the 430 ft/lbs needed on the ball - will do the HTT part on pickup day. Will drive home and perform final adjustments after loaded properly.
Happy camping.
Denis

Hello Lanningjw...Looks like someone fastned the screws down to far on your moulding. It also looks like the moulding is seperating from the body...(or is that just my eyes)?
Did the dealer make the corrections for you? I would hope so!

I called Equalizer and they advised to go with the 1000/10000. Said there was only a 1/4 inch diff in the bar size. What do you think?

A good friend recommended the 600/6000 for the Shamrock 19. As the GVWR is under 4600# he suggested the towing experience would be better and more comfortable - not as bouncy and better suited for the size and weight - also we have absolutely no plan to go bigger at all.
For me that made sense.

Thats what I was kinda thing about the 600/6000 Egualizer. But the tech said that they did not have any problems with going up 1 size to the 1000/10000. He said that you run into problems when you go up 2 sizes to the 1200/12000. We are like you and not planning on getting a bigger camper. What are you using for a TV?

This is our first, been tent camping my entire life. The wife and I have been talking about getting a TT for about 2 years and pulled the trigger about 3 weeks ago on this 2008 Surveyor SV210T. Here's picture #1, I'll be adding more after we take it on its inaugural trip this weekend. The boys have been camping in it all week in the driveway!
