I used to camp there years ago. Now that we are older and have have more money we can afford a trailer. It used to be a lot simpler. Tent camping, Porta potty and all the other gear. I wish I still lived up there to get onto the beach with our rig.

No, Shinnecock East is a Suffolk County Park. It has Ocean and bay side sites, very nice no hookups. Easy to get a spot and very friendly staff and campers. Montauk is out another 40 minutes and always booked 8 months in advance.

I took the camera this weekend - it started raining about 11 on Saturday morning and never stopped!
I should have taken pictures of the disaster! We made the best of it though. I've got the HTT in storage, open, and drying out for now...
The fire pit filled with sand both nights!
