Our favorite campground and favorite site in the Smoky Mountains even though it is a KOA which we very very rarely stay at.

This is not at a commercial CG. It is at the home of friends at Tilghman Island on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay. Hate to think what a commercial site like this would go for.[image]

Site number 8 at Scotts Cove Campground in Alfred Maine..

Small campground with a really nice clean lake.. just 8 waterfront spots.

The view from the water looking back at the site:

..and my view while enjoying the sounds of the loons out on the lake:

The kids can go swimming right off the back of the site here.. It was a
nice relaxing stay this August..

My favorite campsite in our 5100 mile trip to the Pacific Northwest.
Glacier NP, Many Glaciers Campground.
No reservations accepted and no hookups. This is hiking heaven.
Was here for only 4 days. Next time it'll be 2 weeks!
