Great pics nash40, this state park is on our list to visit. Did you use the new Tennessee reservation system? If so how was it.
Thanks

We did for this trip. I only wish is showed the angle of the pad compared to the road.
They do have pictures of the area which is great but it doesn't show it compared to the road.
If you look at the State Parks in AL, they show what I'm talking about.
We ran into a problem with the spot we picked in Area A.
The roads in A are narrow and there was no way we could get our camper turned to get in it because of the angle of the pad.
If you have a larger camper I suggest Area D, we ended up moving to that area and it worked fine.
I think Area D is the best out of all of them and all the spots have full hookups and plenty of space between campers.
Area A is good but some of the spots can be tricky to get into and they are closer than D.

Louisville South KOA. This was our first trip out this year March 8-10th, and used this as a base camp for some other activities we had planned in the area. The sites are weirdly placed and when full would not be the best. My parents were with us to the left so we did have a nice yard area. During season lots of activities for the kids. I would return if we were in the area.

Valley of Fire State Park March 2013, about 60 mi NE of Las Vegas. The campsite is #7, Arch Rock Campground. This was a stunningly beautiful park. The obnoxiously painted mini van was a rental out of Vegas. The seats folded down to a bed, the liftgate opened to a tiny camp kitchen with a mini hand pumped sink, 12v fridge & butane stove. The container on top opened to a separate tent accessed with a ladder. I only used it for my suitcase. It was fun for a short trip.
