Sort of old news now but it happened spring of 2009 on I80, Elk Mtn, just a little east of Rawlins WY. Big sustained gust broadside. Lucky it broke out of hitch & did not take truck with it. Had we been a class A or a C we would have been toast.

We were there, last year, too. Our first time. But that smell, especially when you first pulled in, was enough to make you want to turn around. It did get better at our site.

Gotta admit, camping in the snow is pretty.

This is Federal Dam COE, MN after a late winter storm 2008. The CG was not even open yet but the rangers let us in before the storm since we had nowhere else to go, turned on power for us, no water, then said bye bye & left for the weekend asking us to close the gate again if we got out before they returned on Monday.

Well...Friday to Monday we had the whole park to ourselves. Good thing we had plenty water & 3 electric heaters. Nice & toasty.
