Good morniing afob3, I would have loved to been able to get away for the weekend. Just something about being out there. Don't get me wrong we had a great Thanksgiving family gathering here yesterday,Sunday, but being out there would have been the icing on the cake.

Rosiclare, IL, city park at the edge of the Shawnee National Forest along the banks of the Ohio River. $20/night (although they never came to collect this winter weekend)

The city park contains about a dozen sites with gravel pads, electric and water, two public restroom buildings, boat ramps, shelters, playground. Quaint little town.

Last site near one of the shelters and bathroom.

Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton, LA

This site is in Bottomland RV camp and is site # 108. If going here, I highly recommend this site because it's right next to the lake and has the most space of any campsite at the park.

I live @ Hazelmere RV Park & Campground, just north of the border near Vancouver,B.C. This is one of the most beautiful parks I have stayed @ & that is about a dozen across Canada. Thanks Bill. I too am a wood worker. Was a cabinetmaker for many years. We have lived the RV live style for 15 years full time & camping every year prior to that since I was a child. Now let me see.....when was that.... oh yeh the mid 50's.lol Cheers Angela [emoticon]
