Lake Fausse Pointe State Park - Close to St. Martinville, LA. Nice park- avoid spot 20 if you have anything more than a 23 footer unless they cut down the tree right at the entrance. Great trail system. [image]

Site E118 at Loft Mountain CG, Shanandoah National Park. I discoverd why it was available on relatively short notice. It ain't EXACTLY level. I used all of my boards and was still low in the front.

Although it wasn't my site, this is a view from one of the sites in the A Loop of Loft Mountain. Totally awesome and I would love to see it when the fall colors are peaking.

It was beautiful up there on the Columbus day weekend, like you, we got there without reservations on a friday afternoon, & took what we got, although ours wasn't that bad, the location however was not the best, as the walkway to the bathrooms was litterally at the end of my awning. But as they say, any day camping is better than sitting at home. [emoticon]

Here's our boondocking camp site with the first snow at Mammoth Lakes in the Eastern Sierra. We just made it over the Tioga Pass before it was closed the night before. Big surprise when we opened the door that morning.
