Sleepy Hollow SP Laingsburg Mi Site# 172. This is one of our favorite local state parks, very woodsy and most of the sites are private and surrounded by trees on all 3 sides. The park has a nice beach and 13 miles of hiking/bike trails. Pictures aren't the best, i took them with my phone...

LOL Michael!!! Those kind of fire rings are in a lot of the state parks here in Michigan. Don't care for them much but the one good thing about them is that in the colder weather you can rest your feet up on top to warm up !
And thanks, we love that style of camping also. Nice,woodsy and private!

We stayed two nights at Sycamore Springs park, in English, IN. Click for Sycamore Springs
This park is fantastic. They have 20 RV sites, all along a creek. 30 AMP service at every site and water-spigots throughout to fill your tanks. Very clean park, very quiet and secluded. Best thing is it's all FREE. Free camping, free firewood, free showers (new modern and clean showerhouse), free fishing, plenty of free shelterhouses and playgrounds for the kids. They stay booked up most weekends but its usually possible to get a site through the weekdays.

Only bad part about this trip was the area was under a burn-ban and there were no campfires allowed. Had to do all my cooking inside, first time ever.
They moved in an old church house and remodeled it for use as a wedding chapel.
