Hey kknowlton - We've been there and enjoyed it. Stayed just a few days then moved to Teton Canyon Campground, a FS campground up the road to Grand Targhee. Nice long sites and a CG host. Moose came through the CG and it is bear country - each site has a bear box.

This week we have been at Muscatatuck Park, in North Vernon Indiana. Nice, quiet area with shaded and open sites. We chose an open site due to the sewer connection. There are only 8 full-hookup sites and they are out in the open. There are 20 or so water/electric sites back in the woods, very shaded and secluded. Going to use one of those next time. Ours was really nice once the sun went over the trees around 8pm. Nice sunset. We had site #7.

Here is when we first got set-up:[image]

There is a river for fishing, hiking and biking trails, open fields, and primitive camping. Plenty of shelter houses for rent and playgrounds. Here is a dark picture of the Muscatatuck River while fishing until dark:

Had some friends over the last night for dinner. Myself cooking the burgers, beans and corn:

And finally, the sunset for the last evening:

Bus Depot. You can take the metro bus to the subway station and then take the subway into the city. You can also drive to the subway station which is about 10 minutes away.

Camp Grround office and a very well stocked camp store.

The campground is right next to a very busy interstate. There is always highway noice. We kept the AC blower on all of the time. We really couldn't hear the noice with it running. The staff wasvery fiendly and helpfull.

Thanks, yes, every time I read negative posts on here about "dealing with canvas", I just wait for our next trip here with the "dreaded canvas"...LOL....it's not perfect all the time, but sure is perfect lots of times [emoticon]...thanks, Jennifer

Sooooooo true! We loved the canvas views of both our Popup and our hybrid.....we bought the TT we have now because it was too difficult getting my mom, who I take care of full time after a massive stroke, into the beds in the hybrid or popup. I love our TT....however, both hubby and I miss the gorgeous open views from the canvas ends!
