We really liked Mueller SP. They have smaller facilities at the loops and then larger, full restrooms with showers and laundry room up on the main road. Very nice and clean and fairly new.

We were there a couple years ago and I was impressed with the overall appearance and condition of this state park. The facilities were newer and well maintained. The sites are nicely spaced.

We were in site #44 with a view of Pike's Peak from back of our site:

All sites had electric but no water or dump in sites. It does have a dump station on the way out and plenty of places to fill with water.

All sites have picnic tables and fire rings.

There were showers near sites 81 , 82.

We were staying in site #85.

Because it was winter the water spigot's were shut off but the rangers let us fill up at their maintenance shop. The bathrooms were open and very nice.

Dont know how far from Grand Junction but its 30 miles West of Colorado Springs.

Tim,

Thanks for this info. I guess I got this SP mixed up with James M. Robb-Colorado River SP near Grand Junction. However, we still have always wanted to go to Mueller SP. You said the bathrooms were nice. Do they have flushed or vaulted toilets? Are the showers coin operated?

They had both (flushed) & (vaulted)

Never went to the showers so dont know

Tim

Hi ReneeG, Re: Where in Glacier National Park did you camp?

We camped at the Two Medicine Lake campground on the east side
of the park , but I don't remember the site #. But in Sept. most sites where
available and so camped close to the lake. The other 2 pictures where driving out of park , a few miles east of the campground. It's a very scenic park.

Thank you. Last time we were there we camped at the St. Mary's KOA on the East side. We drove around that area but didn't really check into that CG. I'll have to now! Thank you!
