If you go into mapsource then click on "tools" then click on the "position" tab you can select whatever format you want. Then you just copy the coords over and convert back. Works great. Your GPS also has this function, I'm sure of it![emoticon]

Speaking of coordinates using the Garmin (thanks for buying, I have stock in Garmin [emoticon])

Do any of you ever do GEO-CACHING?

For those who don't know what Geo-Caching is....taken from their site www.geocaching.com

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.

Our son who lives in SW Idaho started us on this when we visited him one time, He gave us a "Geocache Bug" and told us to go to geocaching.com, find a cache here in SE Idaho, then use our GPS to find it and add the "bug" to the cache. There is a little log book that goes with each cache; you tell what you brought in and what you took out. We were camping in McCall with our family and we all did a geocache from the boat when we were on the lake. We found the cache and it was full of CD's, so we added a CD of our own and took one. It is great fun...most of the caches are just trinkets but it is a great treasure hunt and lots of fun.
