Dixie Flyer wrote: ![]() Burch when will you arrive at Sevierville. Looking forward to meeting you and the family. Unfortunately I will only be at Sevierville towards the end of the rally. I plan on leaving Friday the 18th and making it to Tifton, Georgia Friday night. I plan on leaving work early right after lunch. Hopefully I will be in Sevierville sometime Saturday afternoon on the 19th. Google maps shows the drive to be about 6 1/2 hours and 422 miles so I plan on leaving Tifton early so I can be in Sevierville by early afternoon. We will be staying in Sevierville until Tuesday morning and then heading to Cherokee, NC for the rest of the week. I can't wait to meet everyone! Terry got a good report from his cardiologist today. He is far better than he has been in two years. His kidney function is down a little, but he is on increased diuretics and the doctor said that may be his new normal. Closing on the rental was yesterday, money's in the bank. Whoo hoo! In another ten days we will be leaving Indiana for Virginia, Florida, and eventually Texas. Good morning everyone. Thanks Walter for saying hello to Michelle for me. ABC was always a great place to stay while in Branson. Yesterday was a good day. Today will be cool and tonight we will be in the lower 50's. I bought firewood yesterday and it will be delivered this morning. This time I bought enough to last the winter, maybe. The fur gang is well this morning. They sense the change in the season as the mornings are getting cooler. Suzie loves it outdoors in the mornings while Dixie is too busy thinking about food and immediately wants back in once she takes care of business. Lizzie was in the bed last night when I got ready to call it a night. Sue had gone to sleep before taking her to her room. She didn't like it when I picked her up and started down the hallway going to her room. It went to see the Chiropractor yesterday and he said my back didn't look that bad. He said there was a slight misalignment that adjustment would take care of, so I will go back to twice a week until things get better. I see the eye doctor tomorrow and will see if removal of the cataract is possible. I hope all is well with everyone. Dale glad to hear Terry's report. Last night I heard from Michigan in that Sue's brother in law fell and broke nine ribs and punctured one of his lungs. He is resting and hoping for a full recovery. They are watching to see that pneumonia doesn't set in. Okay I have to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Good morning everyone. Got firewood yesterday and this morning one of our church members is out back stacking it for us. Sue and I stacked some yesterday before we gave out. It's cool here this morning at 58 degrees. The high today will be in the upper 70's. This morning I have an appointment with Dr. Myer to see what if anything is going to be done about the cataract in my right eye. Sue and I are looking forward to Sevierville. We haven't been any where since April so we are ready to hit the road. Charles, sounds as if you are getting a lot of rain. I heard on the news this morning some parts of Texas have gotten 44 inches of rain. I hope all is well with everyone and I wish you a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. |

Good morning everyone. It's 59 degrees here in the Deep South. No rain in sight so we are now in an official drought. Yesterday Dr. Myer gave the go ahead to remove the cataract, now I wait for the call from their surgery staff to schedule the surgery. I told Dr, Myer that we had a trip planed for October 14th and nothing was going to interrupt that trip, so we'll see what they come up with. Yesterday Doc Howard and Tim Owens from our church came over and stacked the firewood for us. What great guys and what a great church we have. During this whole ordeal this summer our church has taken care of us making sure we were comfortable and needed nothing. This eased the burden of our family and allowed them to keep they daily routines. Now that we have firewood and it's stacked, we wait for the first fold days of Fall. I love the Fall with the leaves in full color, the crisp mornings and the first frost. Thanksgiving isn't that far away now and then comes Christmas. I thank God that He has allowed me another year to enjoy this time of year. This is the time for family gatherings, meals around the table with friends and show your love for each other. Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Bes sure to give the fur babies a ug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. |

The humidly is down so there was almost a touch of fall in the air. Although by 10am it is getting hot outside. I'm really looking forward to the Sevierville trip in October. I am taking the motorhome to a local RV service center in Sarasota on Wednesday to try and fix my slide leak. Hopefully they can repair it so it will be ready for our trip. Maybe the 4th time is a charm! Burch |

Good morning everyone. It's another beautiful day here in the Deep South. I hope all is well with everyone. I talked with Charles last night and he says they are still high and dry in Texas. But down the road from them they have not been so lucky. Sue and I are looking forward to October and our trip to Sevierville. I had hoped we could make a short trip for two or three days some where close but when I looked all the campgrounds are full. I wish everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. By the way, just in case you missed it Georgia beat Notre Dame last night. 23 to 17, good game |
