Topic: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Posted By: Dixie Flyer on 09/17/19 06:27am

Good morning everyone. Walter I have some information for you about the lights in the cap of the Montana. They are called eyebrow lights and they are easy to replace. Some of mine burned out on one side so I went to the Montana forum and read what other folks have done. You can buy the led lights with 3m adhesive backing and pull the old strips off and cut the wiring and then install the new ones and you are done, easy as one, two, three. If you ever get to that point I can direct you to the company that sells the led strips, very inexpensive.

Burch I hope you finally get your water leak repaired. Something like that can be so frustrating. We get our first taste of fall tomorrow and Thursday as we dip into the 50's at night and the day time temperature will be in the mid to lower 70's. We need rain as everything is drying up. The grass has become crunchy and turning brown.

Sue has gone to the school to teach a bible lesson. Last week she had twenty-six in her class. Today I go to the doctor for my post surgery office visit. I am doing well as far as that is concern, it's the muscle pain in my right leg that has bothered me, but no so much since Sunday.

Suzie and Dixie are well, waiting on me to take them for a walk, but first I have to shower and get dressed. Tonight we are having the girls over with their families. Sue has prepared her specialty, lasagna. She does that so right, it is very, very good.

Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed ay. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Thanks for the link Richard.[emoticon]

Knock on wood, all of my front end lights and awning lights are still working! It's good to know where and how to install new ones, however.

More photos we just took of the meeting room where all of the original FOOF's met here at the Branson ABC campground. As you can see, they still have the iconic photo of Richard and Old Fella displayed.[emoticon]

I love that picture of Fella and Richard. That is true love in that dogs eyes.

I found a local RV dealer in Sarasota that will look at our motorhome leak. I am a little hesitant to pull off the awning topper myself so I'm going to let them do it. This is a small family owned RV dealer that I have read several good reviews online. I am hoping they are able to fix it and it will be nice to have a local place to service the motorhome. I am tired of having to drive 45+ miles to camping world in Tampa.

Glad to see it's still on display. Sue and I will have to go back to ABC for a visit.

Good morning everyone. Yesterday Sue took Suzie and Dixie for a walk behind the house. This has been a daily routine for the past nine years. Yesterday our new neighbor was outside in her back yard when Suzie decided she didn't like her and charged at her full tilt scaring the lady to death. Last night I heard from her husband about the matter and assured him from now on when Suzie is outside she will be on a leash. Too bad for Suzie as she has now lost her outside freedom privileges. Mrs. Smith has a fear of dogs from a childhood experience with a bad dog so I am understanding of her and want to be a good neighbor. So We will just suck it up and be more diligent in our responsibilities as dog owners.

Wow! Fall is in the air. Seventy five degrees as a high to day and we will be in the lower 50's for the next few nights. Time to bring in some fire wood. I will do that today maybe.

Got a good report from Dr. Flanagan yesterday. He reported the pathology report said the tissue taken from the surgery came back negative, no cancer. So after the colonoscopy coming back clean and now the prostate tissue coming back clean I guess I am good to go for the next 78 years. I go to see Dr. Myer Thursday about removing the cataract from my right eye. If he gives it a go I will go through with it hoping for clearer vision.

I have visions of Sevierville on my mind, looking forward to see some friends we haven't seen in a while. Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
