Topic: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Posted By: Dixie Flyer on 02/28/19 05:35am

Good morning everyone. It's supposed to rain today and by Monday winter returns with the possibility of snow Tuesday night. I will be glad when Winter gives way to spring and summer gets here.

I am not feeling that well this morning, have a variety of things going on. I guess I will do what I can and the rest can wait.

The fur gang is well and will be going on their walk with Sue. Me, I am going to shower and go back to bed.

I hope everyone has a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Here are two pictures I took. This is the small border town of Progreso, just across the bridge. It was raining as we were leaving.

Good morning everyone. Dale it looks like you and Terry are enjoying yourselves. Its great to see you able to travel and enjoy your golden years.

Well it's still raining here in the Deep South. Watching the weather forecast for next week, winter is coming back with a threat of snow. This morning it is 58 degrees and very foggy. The fur gang has eaten and now lounging around the house while hoping the rain will stop so they can go for a walk. It doesn't look as if that is going to happen, at least not for now anyway.

Yesterday was a blah day. I wasn't able to do much because of stomach problems. It seems like I am having more days like that than I should. Sue is going to brave the wet and go out with the girls for a walk, the girls haven't figured out it is raining so they are eagerly waiting at the door. Oops, Suzie just put the brakes on, "I'm not going out in the rain." But she did.

Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Good morning everyone. It's 48 degrees here in the Deep South this morning and it is very foggy. The fur gang has eaten and looking for something to do. It rained all day yesterday and looks as if we may get more today and tomorrow. The ground is so wet it's like walking on a sponge. Got the lawnmower back yesterday so when the grass starts growing I and ready. We are going to get a hard freeze Tuesday night and Wednesday night so that will hurt the tress and flowers that have already bloomed.

I hope all is well with everyone and I wish you a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

It's supposed to get up to around 80 degrees here in Florida today. It has been hitting 80 almost everyday this week. We are finally getting some cooler air coming in sometime next week.

Went to the vet to pickup a 6 month supply of heartworm/tick and flea medications for the 4 dogs. Also picked up some medicine for Murphy for her skin. She itches and scratches all the time without the medicine. It was $761 for all the medication! I really like our vet but he is really getting expensive on the medication. I don't mind paying more to purchase locally as I like supporting the local businesses but his mark up is starting to get out of hand. We looked up the medication when we got home on a place on the internet. It was just over $500 if we had ordered online. It would have saved us over $250. I am going to have to speak with the vet next time the dogs are due for their yearly checkups.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Burch

Winter just will not go away. 25 degrees right now with a high of 36. Then the snow comes in tomorrow. Not going to amount to much but it is going to get cold again. It will be down in the teens for a high early next week. Then it is supposed to start getting warmer. Sure hope so.

Good morning everyone. It's 50 degrees here in the Deep South and the forecast is for some strong thunderstorms to pass through today. Then starts the cooler weather with a hard freeze Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

My son in law's father remains in critical condition in the hospital following heart surgery. Thursday night he crash and went into cardiac arrest and is now on full life support. Sue and I went by to see him and his wife Peggy yesterday and had prayer for him, Peggy appreciated it very much. He is also in kidney failure and is on dialysis, doesn't look that good right now but we have hopes he will pull through and be okay.

The fur gang is well, Dixie tried to steal Suzie's food this morning which met with my strong disapproval. Sue is doing good and is about ready to take the girls for their morning walk.

I hope all is well with everyone and I wish you a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

My wife just sent me this picture. She was trying to get a close up picture of Monty. After she took the picture, she saw that his sister Lola was laying on top of the love seat behind him. She almost looks like a cat!

You have some gorgeous dogs, Burch. So sweet.

Richard, I am praying for your son-in-law's father and family. Hoping he can recover.
