He looks so handsome! I think he has put on a little weight or is his coat just getting healthier? You have done a remarkable job with Old Fella. And the pics you posted - Who said you can't teach and old dog new tricks!

He has put on some weight and his coat is much healthier. As far as teaching old dogs new tricks---Ahhhhh shucks!!

This poor baby will bond to you 100% in time. He's really had no one or no where to call home on a permanent basis. People have cared for him now and then and I'm sure that is why he would sit beneath various RV's.

But, in the end, they all went home. I suppose he will worry about being left once again for some time; but there will come a time that he will forget, and he will trust you to always be there. He'll come to know that your family is his family, and he is home.
He will always be home and the worry of people leaving him will soon fade from his memory forever.

I only wish more animals could know that kind of happiness.

Rich, it's nothing short of a miracle how well Old Fella has fit in with your family. You really have to believe in divine intervention when you hear a story like this. As much as you have done for his life, he will do for yours. It was just meant to be.

Now that the Old Fella Rally has been officially set for June 22-25 Old Fella, the wife and I would like nothing better than to get to meet all of you good folks, so how about it?? We have fourteen days to secure thirty sites for ABC to declare it an official rally. I have already signed up and so has Lynn. Anyone else signed up yet?

One of our local television stations WJBF channel 6 which is an ABC station is intertested in doing a spot on the news about Old Fella. I talked with Chip Cramer who is the one who will put it together and he will be on vacation this coming week, but he made an appointment with me for the week of the 24th. Chip is an animal lover and will do a great job on the story.

Even Oprah is a little under class for Old Fella![emoticon] just kidding, but he is a remarkable dog and there are many more out there that need help. He should be getting his bandanas in the mail, maybe today, depending on how the mail service is between here and there.
I will be booking for the Rally Monday.. Going to pick up my tc today so maybe I can meet ya'll before the Rally, not too far from Memphis to Waynesboro.
