I am having a recurring problem on my 213. When filling the FW tank, by the time I know it's full, it's full, and then the fill and vent hoses weep at their fittings on the inside, under the front bench of the dinette. I have tried to cure it, But, at least for the fill hose, it never completely works. Those white and green fill hoses are hard to clamp tight enough to seal. I had the same issue with the same exact hose on a fifth wheel.

Now my carpet is wet under the plastic sheet that overlays the carpet, under the FW tank. When I get home I'll have to remove the tank and the plastic sheet, in order to dry things out. Jeesh. BTW the drips are just an inch or so from the simple 4x4 hardware store junction box for the genset wiring. The fill and vent hoses run right over the center of the j-box. This was poorly designed all the way around.

If I can't get it to seal, and I expect I won't since I've already tried everything I know, I'll start stuffing a towel in there, to be taken out at the end of each trip. I guess I'll line the whole area first with a garbage bag, under the towel.

Every trip involves quite a few little repairs. It's usually okay, but anything involving wet carpet and wood gets me agitated.

OK, venting over.

Currently RV-less but not done yet.

I have the same problem. Bought new "green/white" hose after our Alaska trip and cut it so both ends are "flat" not corrugated. Looks like it's solved, will find out next summer. Biggest problem to me is the fill is the same height as the inlet to the tank. I don't fill the last 3 inches any more.

Where are you in FL? We're in Melbourne at Wickham Park, Loop B, in our "house", the 213 is in storage in the north.

I don't have a 213, but my wife and I did stay at Wickham Park Nov 1,2,3rd. [emoticon]
We were in Loop A site 6 -very nice park. We walked over Fri. night (the 1st) to the Community College to see Celtic Thunder, an Irish singing group. Great show and a great weekend all around.
I have stayed many times at Long Point, another Brevard County park, but had never stayed at Wickham before.

Hi, I have a "B" and want a little more room. The LTV Unity fits the bill for everything except my budget. [emoticon] Any suggestions for anything older that is similar in the 40K range?
Nothing over 24-25 feet long.

I am seeing that last line as a joke. When I fill the FW tank by sticking and holding the water hose a bit inside the opening, when it gets full, water comes gushing out the vent pipe -it sorta surges. I can chech, but I do think the vent outside hole is below its exit from the FW tank, so the top water in the tank should drain down from totally full. Am I seeing your issue? I did work out a kink in the short clear vent hose so it would allow better flow.

The vent on our 213 water fill is at about 10:00, the mount has a flat "top" and the vent is to the right. Also the fill is also "tilted in" at the top.

You are right, vent outlet is about 2-3" higher than tank exit.

To me knowledge, mine hasn't been dribbling, and by now, of it had gotten carpet under plastic wet, I bet we'd smell it.

Trust me gang, if it was dribbling inside, you would know! One of the stupid things Rvision did was install all the interior equipment AFTER the crappy rug was put down. If you remember in the archives of this THREAD (its so long it deserves Capitals), my water tank had a defective mount for the drain hose, so we found soaking carpet after we were into our 2nd day of our first RV trip...Thanksgiving weekend...We managed to dry it all out, took a LONG time, and I fixed the tank. However, nothing was more gratifying than ripping out that stuff to make the new interior. I used a commercial, plush rug for the redo, but installed it UP TO the boxes, not UNDER A WATER STORAGE VESSEL!!![emoticon] When I relocated the FW tank, (just turned it 90 deg.) I got a piece of neoprene hose from an aquarium supply. Filling the FW tank then became easier, but it would still spit and drool on the outside as we rode. [emoticon]

How come you guys are filling your FW tank so full? My method for filling is to only have about 15-20 gallons in the tank. I know my garden hose runs about 8 gallons a minute, so I turn it on and let it run into the FW tank for 2 to 2-1/2 minutes. My 8 gpm is because of the 5/8" size garden hose and the pressure we have. Our tank holds 35 gallons.

I took a 5 gallon bucket and timed about how many seconds it took to fill the bucket. Of course we don't use the shower and we have a gallon of clean drinking water in the fridge. We use campground showers or the friends house shower we are visiting.

There’s a dammed-up hydraulic engineer in all of us just looking to gush forth!

We use FW in tank for everything, so like to start out pretty full. I suppose it has helped our situation that though we fill the FW when leaving the campsite, after dumping the tanks, we put a half bottle of chemical stuff in each the tub drain and toilet and wash in another estimated couple of gallons each.
