On AC, I know little, but my 1st thought on the AC would be to put the fan on fan (not auto), and with it running, turn on AC while holding the AC unit to feel if compressor actually starts running. On rear view, we did just what snowman said w/ good results I posted the following elsewhere burlmart wrote: Quite literally, fixing the truck-cab seats to face the windshield while the coach is parked is BACKWARD It is an error that nearly all Class C builders make by not intrgrating the truck w/ the coach. This error never occurs inClass A or B rigs, and the better B+ builders are leading in the correction of this unintended consequence of focusing on the MH chassis. The builders also enjoyed reducing their costs by focusing buyers on the truck aspect of the C. and it made me go look at hoe our seats are attached, and it discourages me from thinking any piece of hardware would possibly convert the seats to swivel - am I wrong? Also noticed a plastic box and other wires under the driver seat...what all is down there? * This post was edited 08/30/13 03:11pm by burlmart * 2005 Trail Lite 213 B-Plus w/ 6.0 Chevy

Burl, I'm SURE there are legal mechanisms one can find to enable swivel. Don't Coachouse and some of the other high enders feature swivels? What about suppliers to custom van converters?

Yes, but as I recall, Markopolo found he had to replace our entire seat. If we had a real thread, I'd try and clarify my recall by a search...we lost that ability - and SO MUCH ELSE - in the Great COMPRIMISE I could kick myself for being in Canada on an extended RV trip when this thread 'happened' |

2wheelluge wrote: For those of you with Trail Lite units, what have you done for a backup camera? I took a license-plate-mountable backup camera and mounted it just below the three marker lights on the top rear of the unit. I use the power from the marker lights to power the camera (so I just put the parking lights on when I need the backup camera), and I just had to run a video cable to the front mirror-mounted display. I ran that behind the rear cowling into the area in the bathroom where there's an 8" wide board along the ceiling wall junction. I then ran it along the whole inside of the rig behind that same board which runs inside the cabinets on the driver side, then down behind the speaker panel behind the driver side door/seat area. ---------------------- 2001 Trail Lite B+ 211 |

Now if I were to do it today I would use one of the wireless cameras, but still power it the same way. Just search for "wireless backup camera". I suppose one of those could even be mounted in a rear window.

Burl, I asked about the swivel seats at one time. IAMICHABOD has done it. Personally I didn't want the compromise that you get with the adapter. That is, the seats are moved over a couple of inches towards the doghouse, and also up an inch or so. Here is my thread, which includes his reply with a link to his thread. I never did act on it because of my concerns. Those who have done it seemed to like it, though. http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/26742522.cfm * This post was edited 08/31/13 07:22am by Snowman9000 * Currently RV-less but not done yet. |

burlmart wrote: Thx for this What is under front seat It's a fusebox. You wouldn't be touching it if you put the adapter plates on top of the existing base, which is what they are doing in the other thread. |
