Jack, does the dash a/c draw that much power from the engine – you notice the difference in mountains? My ceaselessly questioning brain just wondered (again): If your gas is getting below the ¼ tank or 5 gallons or whatever the limit is for the genset, and you are going up/down a steep slope, could this cause the genset to prematurely quit? 2005 Trail Lite 213 B-Plus w/ 6.0 Chevy

I grew up in the mountains of West Virginia. One trick we had with our old cars was to run the heater, even in the summer, going up the mountains to lower the engine temp and prevent boil over. I guess thats why I'll run the roof air and keep the dash air off. I still worry about overheating. Plus I don't mind the cab a little warmer and the co-pilot likes it nice and cold ( freezing ) in her domain back in the coach. I've read that the genny only uses a quarter gallon per hour. I don't know how the dash air affects mileage but it has to have some drain on engine rpm same as all the other accessories. My generator does not kick off at a quarter tank. My low fuel level light came on one night on the return leg of a trip while the generator was running. The co-pilot was asleep in the back and I didn't notice how low I was on gas. It took over 30 gallons in a 33 gallon tank and I had to shut the genny down. It did not shut off on it's own. Bill & Maggie LT USNR Ret. 2003 Trail Lite 211 B+ Chevy 6.0L

Happy, that is how the unit is supposed to work...when you reach 1/4 tank the gen shuts down. Only thing I can think of is that it wasn't an option in that year. I know that old heater trick too. Basically it gives you some more radiator surface. So running the gen and the house air lets you stay cool and keep the engine happier. Chas Morristown, NJ Trail Lite ">

![]() Foot stool for two wingbacks. It is under the new location for 26 inch lcd tv. You can get an idea of the vinyl allure floor that replaced the carpet vinyl combo. The before was all gray and maroon. I will try to get a couple of befores for you. ![]() We were planning on reworked some outdoor recliners we found at Camping world. We had plans for covering and boosting the padding. Then we found these recliners and well had to have them because I like lighthouses and they fit and are very comfortable. |

Goldie, the mods you made are terrific! Which model BT is yours? I would like to see the floorplan to orient myself. Tho' we are not fans of vessel sinks, your application is an absolute no brainer, and it looks great. In fact it seems like you have a larger sink than the in-counter one. I'm storing this idea!!! I also like all the use of curtains. I hate our 'around the cab' curtain, since I'm always abrading my unprotected skull on the velcro dots. The floor is vinyl? Real nice. |

Yes vinyl 6 inch by 36 inch strips which bond together with self adhesive strips and form a floating floor. They are stiffer than regular vinyl. The BT is the 270. Queen size bed in back, single small slide for dinette and barrel chair across from it. It is a larger sink than the original. The kitchen sink is actually smaller but single basin instead of divided means more functionality. We hung the curtains with small tension rods and clip hooks so they are easy to pull. The two sets provide increased options. We tried not to clutter two much but it does require slide to be out to use both chairs but the slide is out most of the time unless stopped to sleep and then it makes no difference.

Were the curtains custom made? I guess you just went over the old floor. Any noise from the new one? |
