We have the same Problem with our dog. Ask your Vet about giving her a kids Benadryl tablet. Our little girl is only 9lbs so we use about a quarter of a table and put it in some peanut butter, It works really well.

Our Golden Retriever use to throw up on car rides as well. We fed him ginger cookies about an hour before we left. The ginger settles the stomache. People kept telling me he would would out grow it, he finally did at 3 years old.[emoticon]

here is our 2 year old long haired doxie always willing to help out with the driving when we get tired.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in
a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, loudly proclaiming---WOW WHAT A
RIDE!!!

Your Doxie and my Yorkie must have gone to the same driving school. Any chance he gets he likes to drive as well.
