Wow - those Dutch Shepherds are amazing-looking dogs!!! Very cool! Don't let the AKC see them - or they'll be everywhere in 5 years....

Isn't that the truth? Because they are a relatively "new" breed here in the USA, they are not well known. Most who own them use them for some sort of service work, law enforcement, SAR etc.
They are VERY high drive dogs, extremely smart and require training with a fair handler. They originate from Holland and are used for herding sheep.
There are already many popping up into shelters across the country which is very sad.
There have been several litters dumped at a kill shelter in Memphis and even more dumped in shelters on the East coast.
