Welcome as far as tires go ive been looking for new ones for quite awhile but i have found some that closely fit my tires size they are Deestone D902 set of 6 $515.52 try looking https://simpletire.com/deestone-8.7516.5-ds1290-tires. Not pretty but they will work

thats exactly what I found, but all I need is 4 tires. the two front tires are actually regular 16’s.

Im going for them. the dry rotted old tires I got dont have another 2 miles on them lol.

What are you guys running for psi on frint and rears?

I have no owners manual [emoticon]

I got the Firestone Transforce for mine. They cost a bit more, but I don't go cheap on tires - a blow out can do a whole lot of damage.

The Deestone are trailer tires - I'm not sure I'd want to use those on a motorhome. They ride a lot rougher than truck tires and these old rigs already ride rough - why make it even worse?

Deestone makes trailer tires yes but these are not it yes they will ride rougher being they are a biased tire once they warm up get smoother. Every bit of research ive done on these even gone as far as called the company that sells them. The problem with firestone tires is they are overpriced as well as the fact that if you get them into any mud they might as well be slicks. I had them on my dually f350 2wd and got stuck in my driveway after a rainstorm. IMO not wasting my money on them again.
As far as tire pressure id run mine on the high end at 65 psi but thats just me im driving very short distances on account of the condition of my current set of tires.

Any thoughts on this cross checked model numbers and its the same one i can get at work for $25 but the ones i use go into travel trailers. Btw im never buying a newer pull behind.

I did a quick look at the manufacturer's website. (wfco wf-8735-p) Downloaded and looked at installation and operator manuals. Not a lot of detailed info but what was there indicated it's an acceptable unit. I'd look for online reviews, if any are available. (Might not be many, if any, due to limited scope of market.)

Gotta go to town today ... will post more thoughts when I can. (This evening or tomorrow.)

Geez!! What a day! Roughly 80 miles of driving on a half inch or thicker layer of ice and hard-pack snow. About four time the usual signs of unauthorized stunt driving and motor vehicle acrobatics. (Dents in the snow berms and ditches where people 'missed' the road.)

Everybody's in hunker-down bunker-mode ... only a quarter of the usual traffic in town so everybody is staying put unless they absolutely have to go somewhere.

Gonna unwind and wait until tomorrow before posting anything new.

RvFNG76,

The WFCO unit you are looking at has some bad reviews on QC and customer service. The specs look OK, but if the unit is defective when you get it and you have to fight with their customer service for months, I wouldn't go there.

There is a similar unit by Progressive Dynamics that I have been considering: Model PD4135KV

Progressive Dynamics products are made in the US and, in general, they get lots of good comments about their customer service. This product only has 10 reviews (one bad), but look at other more popular PD products' reviews for other comments. I think I would go with their product even though it is a bit more expensive.

An Rv's electrical system is critical thus I would not be inclined to go with the cheapest product.

It sure seems like it but really just typical Alaska, with the weather deciding to add a wrinkle to the usual entertainment.

Right now, the roads amount to hundreds of miles of iceskating, with people thinking they can still drive 60-70 mph. Result is, "I don't know why I went in the ditch, I have studded tires." Or, "I have four wheel drive."

I agree completely as a matter of personal preference and practice. IIRC, RvFNG76 can get heavily discounted WFCO units pulled and replaced by a travel trailer manufacturer.

I thought about mentioning Progressive Dynamics -- again -- but was in a hurry and wanted to keep my comments short. (Yeah, I know ... keeping my comments short is unusual for me.)

Leeann has a Progressive Dynamics unit, refurbished IIRC, and is apparently satisfied with it. I tend to follow Leeann's lead because she has a good range of technical knowledge and experience and researches things carefully.
