It's great to read you! Been wondering how you been doing. The cottage in Ireland sounds heavenly. But somehow I can't see "Victim"
tattooed on you anywhere... but I could see you wielding a mean "quad"
cane lol... So what's the verdict, if the MDs have any yet, on what's going on with your right leg and foot? I can commiserate somewhat, my diabetic neuropathy makes both my feet feel numb. Makes it hard to walk sometimes, and play a left foot bass part on the pedals of my
Hammond RT-3... Other than that, I only need a cane sometimes.

And since you got a new Netbook, I got me a new Toshiba Satellite laptop with the nice BIG 18.3" screen... sweet... so me gotsa new toy too lol...

And I have missed you being here... so even if penance, I am graced by your presence. But that's just me. And I have magnificent taste, don't I? I think so. Uh huh. Yep.

Trish, after my surgeries, my legs had numb and weak areas too. It sometimes takes a while for nerves to grow back together. They grow at a very slow rate, so don't give up the ship just yet, better days are ahead, I'm sure [emoticon]

My DR told me that the numb area in my hip and leg would go away, That was back in 1996 It's still numb today, I really hope you do better because they say sometimes the feeling will come back.

Trish, it could be much worse. I lost my right leg below the knee Dec 2004 to a staph infection... Today I can still wiggle the "toes" on the right foot and that "itch" on the bottom of that foot is impossible to scratch.

No matter what the docs say... To ME it's still a "real" feeling.

Being temporarily "hobbled" is still 1000 percent better than not having a limb.

Wow, it's nice to back. I missed all of you guys.

Yesterday, I went to a physiatrist, that is a nerve doc. She was thorough, oh my god was she thorough and I was exhausted. After, as Dan was driving in PGH, we got cut off by a short bus.
This is the story of my life, I swear.

See, I can't balance properly, rt foot refuses to be more than a kickstand.
So, neat things like test-firing oldtrucker's S&W just aren't going to happen.

I'd buy it, OT, but I love shotguns, they are so subtle.

Drive home, I kept saying "what if this is IT" to my son. He's optomistic by nature, but also fed up with me being a cripple (so am I), so Dan said if it comes to it, he will finish the Travco himself.

Oh, sure, that's right up there with me posting pictures.

I don't want to hear it Trish! I had similar thoughts when I lost my leg... Six months later I was back on the Goldwing. It was a long road back, but going out to the airbase and practicing on the MSF range for the last six years I can now do ALL the exercises for both the basic and advanced programs. This includes doing figure eights in an 18x40 foot box with an 800 pound fully dressed bike.

All it takes is refusing to give in and let the "nay sayers" win.

It's good to hear from Trish ... hopefully we'll get better news as time passes and she has a chance to recover. (I know I tend to be impatient with recovery progress whenever I have surgery.)

Here are some parts for MLP (My Little Project) I've managed to find through my job at CarQuest:

Front brake pads -- RMD87

Right front brake caliper -- 18-4271

Left front brake caliper -- 18-4272

Brake booster & slave cylinder assemblies -- 51-8055

Brake booster air filter -- CFI 87720

Front wheel seals -- SLS 3210

Front spindle nut cotter pins -- 800-515 (5/32 x 1-1/2")

Driveshaft carrier bearing assembly -- BGS HB-88107-A

Rear brakes flexline -- STL SP5747

CAVEATS:

These are for a 1973 RM350 chassis. There were considerable variations in the chassis used in older Dodge motorhomes so these may or may not be appropriate for your particular motorhome. (Also, my chassis is a Class A so these parts may not be appropriate for Class C motorhomes.)

The brakes are the Kelsey-Hayes dual piston calipers, casting number 91133, used on medium duty chassis. The 1-ton light duty chassis (i.e., M300, RM300, MB300, etc.) were apparently single piston calipers.

I can help find part numbers for anyone that needs help. (I have access to catalogs that list parts not normally listed in the computer systems ... also, I have a lot of practice in the art of finding parts for older trucks.) Send me a PM and I'll see what I can do.

1970 Explorer Class A on a 1969 Dodge M300 chassis with 318 cu. in. (split year)
1972 Executive Class A on a Dodge M375 chassis with 413 cu. in.
1973 Explorer Class A on a Dodge RM350 (R4) chassis with 318 engine & tranny from 1970 Explorer Class A
