Topic: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

Posted By: goreds2 on 05/17/11 10:40am

This thread is not the same without Lee Ann and Trish teaming up. [emoticon]

See Picture In My Profile

Hey, she's working on it, believe me....it's killing her to be stuck in bed (trust me).

I haven't touched our rig yet this spring - too much on my van/truck to do at the moment.

Isn't the movie Trish and her Travco worked on called "Super 8"? I saw a promo for it last night, it must be coming out soon. Or am I just really confused, like usual?

I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere!

That does sound right.

Wow, Glad to see other Dodgers on here. Mine is a '75 Dodge Empire class C, 20 ft, 360 engine. I have found very little info on this make while searching the web. All I know is The Vesley Company that was famous for the Apache pop-ups in the 50s and 60s made the Empire line, but was mostly travel trailers. I don't think they made the Class-C motorhome for more than a few years. Vesley went belly-up in the mid-80s. That's all I know about this thing. She was christened the name "Stinky" as I drove her home for the first time because of the exhaust leaks under the cab and the back door wouldn't stay shut on the way home, so that sucked a lot of fumes in the cab with me. She has lots of major repairs on the camper shell that need to be done, as years of neglect by the previous owners allowed the roof to leak water and rot a lot of the wood out in the rear and even the front cabover section. Since she'll be undergoing a complete teardown, most everything will be replaced with new parts and lots of modern upgrades, including the exterior aluminum, windows and door. Looking forward to getting started on her soon and getting some helpful info from you experienced guys

**Welcome, and guess what?
I have a 1977 Dodge Sportsman Apache 23' that was built by the Vesley Company.
***I like mine alot because of a cool feature they utilized in the rear of the MH. It has a fiberglass rear lower section that acts as a full width trunk!!(now housing my (6) batteries and updated electical goodies)

Some of the most awesome folk post here. This thread, as well as everyone's thread in here, attests to exactly that. What started
out as a "message in a bottle" question of who else there was besides me that had these rigs has developed into what it is... a working, living resource of knowledge of probably what had to be, continues to be, and may be part of the future, of the American Dream of traveling.

Thank all of you. And Trish, get better soon. I miss you here.
