Topic: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

Posted By: Trish Davis on 03/26/11 12:18pm

Leeann, Oldtrucker, Jer...

If I could keep going, I would. I cannot.
I can't stand up long enough to take a shower and can barely walk.
Offspring call it shuffle'n'lean, as opposed to walking.

They are going to build a "cage" (L-4 to S-1) to will support the vertebrae and put them back into place. No use of synthetic discs, however, probably an insurance thing to keep down costs.
It's 2 hours, quite long. There is nerve involvement, bulging discs, and 2 vertebrae with no disc at all, causing pain and severe lack of motion.

Next week is all paperwork: deed, titles, new will, health declarations, the lot.
If anything untoward happens, there will be very good stuff for sale.
Leeann has my e-mail and Dan has hers.

Crap. I am really scared. Yesterday, the doc asked me if I wanted Xanax or Valium. Told him, can I have some for my cats.

Trish - No be scared. Relax, think of how much better you'll feel after - no more shuffle'n'lean (or the associated teasing from offspring), just normal walking.

Positive thinking and relaxation are both good things going into surgery of any kind.

Ask Dan to email me when he knows anything, okay?

Trish, don't be scared. My daughter has had to have this surgery and my wife's cousin just had it a couple of weeks ago. They are both happy with the results and are as of now pain free.
You'll come out of this fine. Like I said before, they're much better at this stuff these days. I haven't heard of bad results in a long time. Keep up with the good attitude and all will be well. Jer

We finally made the trip to pick up our 79 Brougham. It ran like a top all the way home. There were afew issues to get through. Every time we would turn on the water, it would spit and blow air out. Good Sam RV Tech guy got us through that....Coming around Richmond, the overdrive unit went out. I replaced the fuse and that blew out on 95. Drove the rest of the way home, without the overdrive. The Gearvendor overdrive tech guy, had me do some troubleshooting, and figured out that the shift solenoid is bad. Go to replace the thing, and I had to get plumbers wrench. Now I find that I have to drop the sump and then remove and replace the solenoid. Got to have the gasket that seals the sump to the unit it's itself. Hopefully I can reuse most of the oil in the unit, the PO changed it for us,so it's clean....The weather is supposed to be getting warmer....We can't wait....

Congrats linedrafter,,, I also have a Brougham and have been quite happy with it. Took some work getting it up and going, but it sure beats the tent.

I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere!
