I'm crying I'm laughing so hard.... ![]() No, for real. I was hired to check elec systems: install points, condensers, rotors, batteries --and to test them. Of course, this is when I actually understood ignitions... anything newer than electronic ignition scares me. Tuesdays, the battery truck came for the old batts. I was always scheduled off on Tues because these things were heavy. A couple guys *****ed, moaned and whined, so I came in --in heels-- and threw batteries on the truck all day. We stuck the old batts in a concrete "room" but we'd get bored and throw them. Nifty, how they'd blow up. |

My 72 winny is a class A on the M400 chassis. Another durable chassis for sure! All of the travcos I have seen I believe were on the M300, M400, or M500 chassis. There are many winnies from the early 70s around on the M300 chassis. I dont know how many parts the B300 and M300 chassis had in common though. My impression is the class C RVs from the early 70s were fairly scarce. I bought mine for $2500 in 91, and wouldn't trade it for any newer RV. It like its simplicity. Good luck. |

denisondc wrote: I dont know how many parts the B300 and M300 chassis had in common though. These Dodge chasses share nothing. B300 is a 1-ton van. The M-300, and subsequent series, are heavy-duty (now) truck chasses. Then, the M300 series (300, 375, 400, 475 were considered medium-duty. denisondc wrote: My impression is the class C RVs from the early 70s were fairly scarce. Sorry, no. Common as ditchwater then and now. Cheap to build, bugger to fix. |

'Course not. Leeann's got an A, Griff has 3 (I think), I've got an A. Dodge questions answered here. However, accurate answers come from Griff & Leeann. I have the good sense (now) to do as they say and it's always been good advice. |

hi Trish. Icant seem to locate the vin label on my a class mh.Iam trying to figure the gvwr of it in regard to tire pressure. The tires I have are michelin radials 8r19.5xza.They are stamped 020 in regard to the age as per michelins web site . Not sure if they are from 2000 or maybe even 1990. I seem to be always oversteering the coach and Iam just not enjoying driving it.It has been aligned and the steering box was rebuilt. There is also a steer safe steering stabilizer on it. I have heard lots of people recomending a 4 wheel individual weigh to figure out tire pressures and load etc. Care to comment on these issues I have and possibly clarify the age of the tires would be most helpful. Thank you very much Alan.
