They decided to change over to 12 volt batts and the shop foreman asked my neighbor if he needed some 6 volt deep cells for an RV or anything. He said no but let me check with my neighbor. Last night he dropped off 2 Excide Extreme Duty x-27 6 volt deep cells rated @ 220 amp hours at 20 hr rate. They should give me more juice than I will need in my little rig (battery's only run interior lights and water pump) Better to be lucky than good sometimes. I'm jealous. So'm I. LeeAnn and Griff,,, sorry you don't live closer.. I think they had several of these... but I only had room for 2. Like I said... great to have good neighbors. I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere! |

Probably a simple question for you all. To charge the cabin battery when the RV cord is plugged into my house outlet, do I switch to CONV or BATT on the box (in the RV) or does it matter? Thanks, * This post was edited 09/09/10 06:44pm by goreds2 * See Picture In My Profile I have a 1989 Dodge XPLORER RV Class B - Purchased 10/15/10 IN CASH Fiance' purchased a Class C 2002 Dynamax Carri-go on 5/1/15 IN CASH We've got the best of both worlds |

We know where you live. And Leeann can figure out the GPS, don't think you are safe. Update. JJ Abrams is the director of the local movie and Spielberg is the producer. Yeah... a real movie with real money. The Travco films Sept 22-24th. |

Thanks, Anyone? ![]() In all honesty, I'd use a good multi-stage battery charger plugged into an outlet. I've never trusted the older power converters ... the 1970 model I had in the (first) motorhome always overcharged the batteries and boiled the cells dry if I'd let it. (Some of the better, newer converters have a built-in charger function but yours is probably one of the older ones.) 1970 Explorer Class A on a 1969 Dodge M300 chassis with 318 cu. in.
