I think the regulator did the trick... I now have new regulator and alternator.... changing alternator did lead to replacing the bolt holding it on which was in real bad shape and could have failed,(would have failed eventually, probably on a rough mountain road 100 miles from nowhere) so that wasn't all bad. so until the next thing craps out on me I am good to go...... I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere! |

I'm thinking i just may end up taking out the rad while i'm at it, looking at it might need a flush but i was hoping there was an easier way in case it happened on the side of the road.

ok, after new alt. and volt reg... still nothing, so we bypassed the inverter/splitter or whatever it is that sends charge to both battery's and thats the culprit..... however mine is a 3 post,,, we checked a couple of local parts houses and found a 2 post or a 4 post. So does anyone know where to get a 3 post or have a part #, or will a 4 post work by bypassing or not using one post? Electrical is not my thing so, kind of in the dark.... thanks again for all the info. |

We have a spare here (got it at a swap meet) that was sold in marine parts stores. '73 Concord 20' Class A w/Dodge 440 - see profile for photo |

Well, I've finished the roof enough to put on 2 coating of roof sealer, re-installed the A/C unit and we're going to do an overnight camping trip tonight so we can do a little ATV riding . The water, frig. and stove are still not hooked up and there is some cosmetic stuff to do on the inside and the outside edging still needs to be applied, but that should not hurt anything for an overnighter. I have some pics I'll put up Sunday. Can anyone help me out . I can't figure out how to post directly to the forum rether than to photobucket and direct everyone there. Thanks.
